Sycamore man dies in crash

Loved ones remembered David Grollemond on Monday as a vibrant, gregarious, family man who brought passion with him everywhere he went.

Although David has left this earth he lives on in our hearts and minds. What a wonderful young man he was. I find it comforting to find out just how much thought and care David was taking in managing his life. What a together, on top of it kind of guy he was. He was off to such a good start to a fantastic future....and we will always wonder just how successful he would have been. He was looking forward to summer at the pool....how much fun would that have been.....sigh... David lived his life to the fullest. He has moved on and left us behind to morn his passing.....but I say I am a better person for having known him. He will be missed, we will cry, our hearts will break.....but let us keep his memory alive in our hearts and know he shines down on us from heaven. Ahh David me boy....even your memovy makes me smile. Lets rais our glasses and toast to David on New Year's Eve and remember him always.

David was one of my best, best, friends...I think of him everyday, and miss him more than i ever couldve imagined. It hurts my heart not to have him here anymore, he was such great person. His whole demeanor was electrical and magnetic, as was his laughter if you were in the same vicinity as him. I have soooo many memories of Dave, and I keep thinking of more everyday. I miss you sooo much David, I think of you EVERYDAY and i miss you sooooo damn much. Save me a seat next to you brother..We raise our glasses much to you...
