16 YEARS old, where the heck are you parents? I know we can not shelter our children but we can guide and protect them. This an absolute shame.

Somebody else must know something! They must have partied with others or others know what they were partying with. They better have some urgency in finding out who is selling the bad stuff that is killing!

But in today's world the parents aren't responsible. They have shoved it off onto schools, government, doctors, pills, therapists, shopping malls, MTV, whatever!!

What a shame to die so young. If it was drugs, when are kids going to learn the dangers of them? I hope their friends learn from the mistakes of these two. So sad!

Death sentences to drug dealers! We must start at the root of the problem. My prayers go out to the parents of these unfortunate teens.

I know I was curious at that age and it even gets more tempting when a friend says.....

"hey..let's try this?"

I know what that's like. At 15, I tried "acid." I remember my 16 year old boyfriend telling me.."here, take this small piece of paper with a picture of a skull on it and put it on your tongue and let it dissolve. Come to find out that the "picture of the skull" was the acid that was about to "trip-me-out" and that it did!

After half an hour, I was hallucinating, got really dizzy, started seeing things that weren't there. It was the freakyest experience I ever had! My heart was racing and thank God I didn't die from it.

That's all it took! My first and last time "experimenting!"

I wonder if these teenagers took "ACID?"

So sad!

We would have to get rid of the Mexicans and their gangs, that certainly isn't going to happen. We have to play nice with them, don't want to step on their constitutional rights.

I'm sorry but I don't think 'Mexican's and their gangs' really are responsible for this Tammy. If 16 year old's are supposedly responsible enough to take the drug than they should be responsible enough for the repercussions Yes that might sound harsh however- they have had how many anti-drug classes in their life? They have seen how many anti-drug commercials in their life? And even if their parents were complete dead beats (which I'm sure these parents weren't) their parents probably mentioned something about anti-drugs.... they are old enough. It's a tragedy at any age but you have to hold the person who did the drug responsible- not a gang, not society, and not an a age group in general.

let's blame the parents, the mexicans, and everybody else. heaven forbid should we place the blame on the individuals that did this to themselves. i was young once too but never experienced with anything illegal. i only had to read about len bias once and that was enough to stay with me FOREVER. surely these kids have heard the horror stories that drugs can cause, so why would they play russian roulette? i don't get it why anyone does this?

unfortunately we live a society of pushing off the blame onto others and revenge. so while we're at it, why don't we blame the chinese, the siberians, and frickin' santa claus for god's sake!

Print a copy of the article and make you kids read it. Whenever something like this happens, make them read it. Parents can't be with their kids 24/7 and you can't always be there to make decisions for them. Make them realize the consequences.

Dear, Irish Italian Here, if you are Italian then I am Shaka Zulu king of the Zulu people. Proof read what you write before you post.

There is no way you are Italian or Irish American.

Speaking for the Polish and Italian people, there is no way either culture would name their child Tammy. Never, never, never. Anthony, Maria, John, Stan, Joseph but never Tammy.

And at the funerals they will all talk about how good the kids were, how God called them home, blah blah blah. This is a good time for the deceased's moms & dads etc to get up & talk at all their friends about the reality of the situation. Sadly, most of their friends will be high on something at the funerals because that will be the only way they can deal with going...
You know what? You're right! Hate to agree with you, but you're right!

As a parent, I feel it's very shameful to have a child taken away like this.

But you have to ask;

Do the parents do drugs? Were these kids following in the footsteps of their parents?

You never know what upbringing these kids had.

First begin investigating at home and digging into their parents lifestyle.
