OMG I am so sorry to the trooper and his family. Please know that in these most uncertain times, I do appreciate our law enforcement and all they do to protect. I am in tears, because one act of stupidity on the part of an angry man, has left a family shattered. I do care, and am praying for the officers and their families. God Bless

Whenever the liberal media jumps all over 'police brutality' at the end of police-chases, or the use of 'excessive force' during violent confrontations with criminals, think about what transpired last night. The troopers' lives are on the line every day (or night) that they go to work. One moment's hesitation to appease the bleeding heart liberals, and it could be their last.

Because they have to protect everybody. Even idiots like you.

Instead of the MC doing stories on the issues facing our Police and what they need to be put up with on a day to day basis, the MC would rather put together boring stories about the market failing during the issuance of school bonds. This incident with the Trooper really puts things into perspective as to what is really important and what is not.

Letís hope a cop never has to put his or her life on the line for a no talent, ignorant ass clown with a 3rd grade education, such as yourself. Rest in Peace Trooper Miller. My prayers are with you and your family.

You have got to be kidding? Crawl back under the rock you came from. I wonder if you'd feel this way if a trooper or other police officer saved YOUR sorry life by giving their life. You are a disgrace!!

I was a volunteer firefighter for several years; that is another job where you know the likelihood of being killed is VERY real. And volunteer firefighters don't even get paid to put their lives on the line. But if a firefighter (paid or volunteer) or police officer gets killed in the line of duty, does that mean it's not a reason to be sad? Most people go into police/firefighting work to help others, because they want to improve things in their communities. Granted, we're all entitled to our opinions, even though I vehemently disgree with yours - but I personally think that when someone who is trying to make this world a better place gets killed simply because the idiot who killed him chose to live outside the law, that IS an occasion for sadness. My thoughts and sympathies go out to the trooper and his family, also to his fellow officers. May he rest in peace.

To all you local race fans beware "Lewis said he was at Pocono Raceway preparing for DUI checkpoints about 8:30 p.m.". Sorry to the friends and family of the officer who lost his life. Glad the boy is OK.

Most of the general public are like sheep, and crimininals are like the big bad wolf. In between you have the police are like sheep dogs. The sheep really don't like the sheep dog and they dont feel like they can trust him, however, when the big bad wolf shows up the sheep dog is always there to go stand up for the sheep and face the big bad wolf.
Just remember that

So sad, all the way around, a 9 year old boy was involved here. There is so much involved with custody battles and domestic problems. It is sad to think that two lives are gone because of domestic violance. May GOD be with this boy and with the Miller family in the time of their loss.
This is a sad situation for all involved

Those troopers will not even be paid come July. Fast Eddie Rendell has told them the pay stops if the budget does not get passed. They will still show up for work though and put "it" on the line.
