Was it all worth it?
The one who is going to suffer in this case is the little boy.
I imagine this cut into their DUI revenue?

Saying "my condolences" to the family of the killed trooper seems so inadequate but what else can we all do? Fantastic news that the nine year old boy was unharned and the other trooper recovering. The perp can go to hell for all I care.

What can I say at a time like this? "Sorry" isn't nearly enough...

It sickens me to read something like this. My condolences to the troopers family. People should look at this as another reason we should salute these police officers who put their life on the line everyday. If you see an officer somewhere, take the time to go over and shake his or her hand and say "thank you". These officers deserve the same amount of respect as our military. This is very tragic and my thought and prayers go out to the troopers family.

Truly a tragedy!!!! The father put his son into a situation that nothing good could have possibly happened. My thoughts and prayers are with the Troopers and their families.

God Bless the Trooper's family, the boy and his family. Law enforcement is a thankless job and luckily, there are some true professionals protecting us.

God speed Trooper...Thank you for your sacrifice.

Praying for the troopers' family and friends and thanking God for the brave people we have trying to protect us day in and day out.

Also prayers for the little boy, who at age nine has seen more tragedy than most.
