Oh, I will still shop at some of the small businesses that I do now. But I am looking forward to having choices besides one grocery store - Ingles- and the dirty,run-down Kmart. They need a little competition!

Boo freaking Hoo!!! Sweetwater needs growth!! The "small business" of Sweetwater will go mostly unchanged by this Wal-Mart. IF you look at the small business in this town most are antique shops, clothing stores, or hardware. Hmmm...Lets see? Wal-Mart doesnít sell antiques, if you want name brand clothes they donít have that either. Hardware, other than tools and a few small things they do not sell plumbing, lumber, etc. So yeah, oh no, the small business will be so crushed in Sweetwater. There are a couple of things that I did leave out, groceries. Hopefully Wal-Mart will force Ingles to sell at reasonable prices. Their so-called "sale" prices are what Wal-Mart sells items for everyday. And as for Kmart; if you want to buy a movie on dvd or blu-ray and don't want to drive to another city here is what it will cost you currently at Kmart: DVD new release runs at $20.99 and blu-ray new release runs at $29.99. At Wal-Mart, DVD $12.99-$14.99 on blu-ray $14.99-$19.99. So if Kmart and Ingles are gut checked because of this horrible monster called Wal-Mart, well then, so be it.
