My name is Brandon Keck. I am a close friend of Dave Seal. My girlfriend and I were riding with Dave and Alicia on Sunday when the crash happened. We were there with her on the scene and did everything we could to save her. I am so sorry! This is horrible. We are extremely upset about all this. We had all spent the weekend camping in Townsend , TN on the river. Dave, Alicia, Hailey, and Xavier were there with us and couple more people that I work with. We played in the river all day on Sat. with the kids. We went tubing in the afternoon and cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. We sat around the fire and had a great evening of conversation after the kids went to sleep. This was the first time that I had seen them as a family. They got along really well. I could tell that Dave and Alicia had really become close. When we got up on Sunday, Dave and Alicia broke camp first and headed out early. They passed on a campfire breakfast for preference of Hardees. We had talked about going for a ride later that day and made plans to contact each other when we were ready to ride. Dave and Alicia had lunch about 2:30 at the Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa , TN. They met us at about 3:45 at our house. We left for a ride through the mountains at about 4. We stopped to fill up our tanks in Townsend and then hit foothills parkway. From foothills parkway we headed up US129. Dave had been on that road a few times already but it was Alicia's first time. Jenn and I rode at our own pace and they were riding at their own pace. Jenn and I arrived at the deals gap store and stopped to wait on Dave and Alicia. They took about 10 or 15 minutes to get there. He told us that he had to stop and give Alicia some advice because she was nervous which in turn was making him nervous. We sat on the bank at the deals gap store, talked a while, used the restroom, and had a bottle of water. We decided to go out Highway 28 to see Fontana Dam. We had never been there before. We rode out to the dam and parked the bikes. We walked out about midway of the dam and looked around. We were all talking and taking pictures of the scenery. It was getting late so we decided to head back home. Jenn and I were in front of them riding. We were riding down a fairly straight stretch of the road when we came up on a slow moving Dodge pickup truck. I passed the truck and Dave wasn't far behind. Not real close but we had both gotten around the truck a good ways from the turn where they crashed. We came up on a turn that was marked with a yellow sign warning that it was sharp. Dave was probably 6 or 7 car lengths behind me. Jenn and I went through the turn and I was watching in my rear view mirror for them because the curve was really sharp. I saw them loose control and lay the bike down in the turn. We stopped immediately. Two or three bikes were meeting them from the opposite direction in the turn and one of those bikes wrecked. I couldn't see everything in my rear view. Just the flash of them loosing control. The officer told us that one of the riders reported that they had run over her during the accident. Neither of us witnessed that part. Jenn jumped off the bike and ran back to the scene. I parked the bike and ran back also. Dave and the bike were wedged in the guardrail but Alicia was out in the road. She was hurt bad. The other riders were stopped and trying to help. One guy was an EMT and was very helpful. We started talking to her and trying to get her gear off while trying to dial 911 for help.

...Nobody had a signal on their cell phone so I told everyone I was going to ride to the store up the road to call. The guy who was an EMT told me it would be a good idea to request a heli-vac. I rode as fast as I could without endangering myself. I was so nervous, I pulled into the parking lot and wrecked my bike trying to get stopped and off the bike to call. Some people in the parking lot picked up my bike and I went inside and made the call. I told the 911 operator all the details and told them what the EMT said about the heli-vac. I went back outside and got on the bike to ride back to the scene. When I got back, they had cut off all her riding gear and had started CPR. I immediately jumped in and took over compressions while Dave gave her breaths. Jenn said that she had difficult breathing and fluids (blood, flem, and vomit) coming out of her mouth when they got her helmet off. Dave had gotten himself up when I was riding off to make the call. He immediately went to her to help. Jenn said they had to roll her over to her side to clear all the fluids from her airway. She was breathing on her own for a very short time but when she stopped the EMT held her head and coached Dave on the breaths while a woman did compressions. I relieved her when I got back from making the call. It took the ambulance 35 or 40 minutes to get there. I had left to call at 6:30 and they arrived about 7:05 or 7:10. We never stopped giving her CPR until the ambulance arrived and the EMT's took over. I could hear a helicopter coming when the ambulance arrived but it never showed up. One of the EMT's told us that they sent it back and had pronounced her dead there on the scene of the accident in the ambulance. They strapped Dave to a board and took him in a separate ambulance. Jenn and I got on the bike and went to Bryson City hospital where they had taken both of them. It was about 50 miles to get there from the accident. We were devastated at what had just happened. We were all in shock. When we arrived at the hospital, they let us go back to see Dave. He was physically OK but emotionally heartbroken. He was in shock. He said over and over that he wished he could trade places with her. He talked about how many lives he had destroyed. He talked about all the plans they had been making and how much he loved her. He worried about the kids and what would happen to them. Worried that they would be split up and worried about them not having their mother. He was concerned about Alicia's family. It was extremely emotional and upsetting. Dave's family came to the hospital to pick him up. They allowed him to see Alicia before he left the hospital. He was crushed. I saw him yesterday and he was still in shock. He was talking about how much he loved her and how bad he felt. He said she always called him in the morning to wake him up and that he and Xavier always called her before bedtime when he was staying with him. He was going to buy her a dress and pick up some pictures of her to prepare for the funeral with his mother and two sisters when we left him. Then they were going to see her family for the first time since the accident. He was really scared. I tried to get in touch with him last night but I was not successful. I am going to see him today to find out what arrangements have been made....I wrote this earlier today. I have been with Dave this evening. He is still upset but he and his family are making arrangements for the services. The news articles that I have read don't tell the real story. This is what really happened. They were getting ready to start house shopping so that they could be together as a family. I will be at the services tommorrow and Thursday.

Alicia was a wonderful person and this is still so hard to believe. Alicia worked with me in the PTO at Sweetwater Primary she was always there to help with what ever need to be done. We are having a benefit for Alicia on Thursday June 25 from 12-9:30 at Sweetwater Primary School.. We have many events planned Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, Inflatable Slide, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Inflatable Jump Castle , Dunk Booth, Ring Toss , Face Painting, Bake Sale, Cake Walk, Silent Basket Auction, Antique car show, We will have plenty of food, cotton candy, and snow cones. There will be a performance from 6-7 by Brandon E an elvis imperrsonater. and for 7-9:30 there will be Karaoke and dance and lots more. All money raised will go directly to Alicias family for funeral expenses and to the children. Please come out and remember Alicia and help this family in such a hard time.. Thank you to all that have donated there time to us, we have had a great response Thank you!!!

Truth you wasn't there and don't know what happened. People that have been driving cars wreck all the time that has been driving for many many years. Things happen, Things are meant to be. We don't understand but don't pass judgement like you know what happened and caused it please.
