Barramundi dispersal

Singapore, Singapore

#1 Nov 12, 2011
Singapore had one escape of farmed barramundi a few months ago, after several months, fishmen caught a few large females with PIT tags, bot no males were caught in a place 20 Km away from the escaping place. This may indicate that females move far than males of Barramundi.

Tagging and recapture experiments on Barramundi showed that larger individuals moved more than smaller ones.
