These two women are simply nasty, and disgusting to "Good Officers" who are dedicated to do a good job. James, and Chavis should be penalies by the courts, and forced to pay these fines for breaking the law. At the Academy of Corrections by the State of South Carolina, these violaters are taught by the instructors: Sexual misconduct to an inmate is zero. I have more pity for the inmates who were violated than the Bad Officers. They need to be punished, pay fines, do communitive service, and list their names as sexual preditors.

Chavis, and James if you are reading this I hope you understand that was against the law. Either you was asleep in class before they gave you that STATE badge, or you just needed an excuse to break the law. Good luck to those inmates involved. I hope you both pay punitive damages, and have your names listed as sexual preditors.

Innocent until proven guilty, inmates can make up all kind of lies, maybe to get back at one of these officers. You the general public believes everything that the media puts out there. There is not hard evidence that they did anything at this point. Stop judging people guilty until you know all the facts, which none of us know at this time, only what the media has put out there to make headlines.

News flash Leslie...women are just as likely to have affairs as are men. Clara Harris used it for an excuse to run her husband over "accidentally" three times. It did not matter that she too was unfaithful to her husband.

Research has shown that 1/3 of of the babies born to married couples are not the husbands.

Unfaithfulness is not a gender problem, it is a human problem.

Jo Jo....since at least one was an inmate at the Department of Juvenile Justice that would make him a minor. In this case...it was rape!

Still they are calling it second
degree sexual misconduct with an inmate.

Why are these employees identified with pictures and addresses?
SCDC protected the idenity of the Porn Stars. Why is there a different standard for these people? Breaking the law is breaking the law. The Porn Stars had Porn on State Computers which is against policy. What makes them so different than these young girls? Identify one---Indentify all. Or does SCDC rather pay those individuals with our tax dollars to look send their pornographic emails?

Why would the inmates be listed as sex offenders?? They were the victims in this case. The two lovelies involved will definitely be listed as sex offenders. I feel sorry for the victims. How would you feel if you had to go down on chavis??

As a former Supervisor for SCDC, these is the steps before they have a case against an employee:

1. Inmate could not get anymore from an employee, so he plays a blackmail game. That fails.
2. The inmate either tells an officer on post or a counselor. That officer reports it to supervisor.
3. The supervisor calls the inmate in the office and ask him about it.
4. The inmate gives a statement. That statement is given to either the warden or major. Which is given to the Investigator.
5. The SCDC Investigator checks up on it and any suspicious activities.
6. He then finds evidence and turns it over to SLED.
7. SLED will slip in an undercover inmate if need be and start investigating the employee. Once they have finished, they will have enough evidence for an arrest and most likely call that employee in and chitchat. Majority of the time, the employee will fess up to the illegal activities and just leave with a voluntary resignation.
8. Employee refuses to resign and the usual yadda yadda, well that already have the warrant which was signed by a judge who has seen the evidence to sign the warrant.
9. They then make the arrest.

Sorry, to hear this about Ms. Chavis
sometimes people get caught in wrong
situation with their actions.
Department of Juvenile Justice should
do a better screening on hiring officer. It is such a miresable place to work, no one is going there. So, in the meantime they are in such a need of officer they will hire anybody, as long as it's a body.
That is so sad Department of Juvenile Justice need to revise there higher ups.
They are very uneducated and unprossfional people that are trying to be over people, when they are not capable of being over themselves.
