You know what Fall River is? Straight trash! The doctors, the nurses, the school system, and everything else! These morons are ruthless with no respect for no one! They're racist and they deliberately make your life a living hell. I can't wait to move somewhere else (most likely Boston). I'm tired of the crappy services you get at their hospitals. Saint Anne's is by far the worst! They have an impending law suit for malpractice! Someone needs to inspect these places, their infested with bigotry!

fall river definetly is the armpit of the world, i moved in 1992, and moved back for the past 10 years, I cant wait to finish college and take my $ elsewhere. What a nightmare to drive, work, and socialize in! Complete nightmare. The only thing the city has going for it is its location and they will never do anything with it because of the mindless leaders and I cant say I even blame them, anything nice in the city gets ruied by the garbage that live there and everyone else thinks they are entitled to other peoples $ despite the fact that they just sit around using up perfectly good oxygen that the rest of society actually paying taxes and looking for a good future could use!

Fall River is terrible and it hasn't gotten any better (the reviews speak for themselves)! The people here are rude and condescending and good luck if you are not Portuguese. I can't wait to graduate! Fall River sucks! Do not live here! I don't recommend it.

People from the north end of Fall River act like they live in Malibu. Sorry people but you're far from it. When I lived in this supposed prestigious part of Fall River, cars on my street has their windshields shot out and my neighbor was murdered.
Driving over and under the Braga bridge, any visitors can immediately tell the city is a pit. Pot holes and bumps are everywhere and the roads should be deemed unfit for motor vehicles' suspension systems. Driving is treacherous as there are very few turn lanes or arrows. Drivers stick the noses of their vehicles out into oncoming traffic without right of way. Roads are poorly marked with barely any paint stripes. Drivers who smoke use Fall River Streets as an ashtray.
There is trash almost all over the city. Spent scratch off lottery tickets litter convenience store and liquor store parking lots like a ticker-tape parade. People wander the streets like hobos looking for their next fix. Their attire is atrocious. Go to any local Walmart or stop and shop and you will see that people wear pajamas to go shopping. When they open their mouths it sounds like they're coming out of the gutter. What a horrible ugly accent.
However, I enjoy the cheap food prices at the sandwich shops on Bedford Street and the Lebanese meat pies are second to none. Other than that you can keep that crap hole. Most of my family is buried there but I won't be joining them when I go. For those of you who think fall River is the best thing since sliced bread and think that it has the best food and the best restaurants, you are not well traveled.

Gregory Joseph Duarte date of birth 2/26/70
spider web tattoo on elbow, eagle tattoo on his back, shaves head bald, went to barbering school and has done it in at least one shop(maybe more) in Fall River and out of his house.
He's a liar, thief, cheater, player, unreliable, violent, only looks for friends to get something out of them. Living in Fall River a short time, he's the most evil person I've known in my life.

Went there for college around '03 (Bristol Community College). I had no car and commuted from Providence early in the morning on a Bonanza Bus. This meant that after I finished classes I would have to wait at the Bus Depot in downtown Fall River for the return bus to Providence in the evening.
I would wait out the time at the main bus depot, which smelled vaguely of urine and broken dreams. It was like being in a surrealist play.
There were these two old guys in knit wool caps who would come in and have discussions about nothing for hours on end. Never got on a bus. Everyone else just looked on, depressed, as they waited on slab benches for a local bus.
The area outside the station was a pretty sore sight. Except for a Subway Sandwich shop on the corner (to be fair it did pretty good business)there was a near-abandonned outlet mall, a store selling Catholic keepsake items, a shoe store, and a generic corner convenience store.
This isn't a rub against the people,(the ones I met anyway). They're just like vast majority of us, trying to get by. Sure there are idiots, but that's like everywhere else too.
My concern is with the city itself, the cultural, political and intellectual life of the city. One of my Professors at BCC put it aptly "Fall River calls itself 'The Scholarship City' and it doesn't even have single bookstore".
I don't even know if it rightly considers itself a city, more of an oversized town. Cities have curiosity about life, they have large market places, libraries, colleges, sporting events, musical acts, etc. They invest themselves in cultural life. In closing, I don't know, maybe someone else knows the answer...
