What happens if they collect all this money and fall short of the needed amount. Do they give the money back or just keep it? This is a private business, why would anyone donate a significant amount for someone's private business? I hope they stay open for the town, but I believe people will be suspect to their real motives.

There is still one just outside Clarksburg. There are several others in the state.

The people who own the theater are very nice and hard working. There are a lot of the theaters in the country that need to switch the projectors or else they will have no other option than to close. I don't understand why someone would question their motives? They are not doing anything shady; they are trying to save their business!

Chuck and Jane (the owners) have promised to donate any money raised to local causes if they do not reach their goal for a new projector. They both have other paying jobs and run the theater as a hobby. They bought it so it wouldn't have to close and the majority of profits go to basic bills such as electricity. As a long time patron, they are motivated to keep it open so Sutton and Braxton County still has activities for the youth.(Chuck is a school teacher.) People want to donate to keep the theater alive and save another small business from closing. Check it out and see for yourself!
