Thank you Gibbons! You realize that excessive taxing is a revenue decrease. Businesses provide these taxes that you collect. Drive them out with overtaxing and you get more people on unemployment and fewer taxpayers. I hope the overide fails. This budget would be a disaster for our economy.

We currently have one of the lowest business tax structures in the nation, yet we manage to STILL have a one-industry state.

So how's that low business tax structure working out for us so far?

Good, we are sitting here in the middle of a recession, and the demo-rats want to increase spending 10%, lets see, my income has gone down, not up, yet you marxist demo-rats want to increase my taxes.

STUPID

look at what is happening to fairly land California, you dumb sh*ts opened the flood gates to illegals, give everyone welfare instead of work fair. When are you going to wake up, Oh thats right I want my free stuff, Hey dip Sh*its nothing is free and we are not all alike, some of you are to lazy to stay in school and get a education, the rest are bleeding hearts want to make us all the same.
Get over it, the new revolution is coming, I just hope it is peacefull.

Actually, "16grandkids", that would have been one Governor Ronald Reagan who "opened the flood gates to illegals".

Look it up.

No and yes,

In 1965 Kennedy ( Killer Ted )pushed a bill to change immigration law, the new law leed to and in fux of illegals, in 1986 a new law was past giveing those who broke that law legal statis, and that law was to end illgal immigration forever, the democratic congress passed the law Reagan signed it.
The only problem is, congress never funded the new law, nor was the law enforced after 1989.

So to place the blaim on Reagan is totally bull, The congress and each Prez. Bush, Clinton and Bush II never enforced the law, and this jurk now in office will give 20 million more amnesty and move in another 10 to 20 million family memebers on to of that.

So bark up another tree, and be careful not to piss on your own leg.

PS there where several other smae bills passed in between Johnson and Clinton on this topic, they where same waste of time and ;arge waste of money.

I wasn't talking about when Reagan was president. Thought I was pretty clear in calling him GOVERNOR Reagan.(You WERE originally talking about California, yes?)

You ought to take your own advice about pissing on your own leg.

I have yet to see where unvle ronnie opened the flood mgates, looking through the net I find nothing on any law he signed to allow illegals in during his terms as governor, lots on when he was the prez, and the mess that was pased to him from that idiot Carter, but nothing on his short side.

If you have the info how about a pass on.

But as I said, our mess is only going to get worse once Bambie makes 20 million of the illegals legal, and another 20 to 40 million of there relatives follow. You willing to pay for their care, I know we already pay for the ones that are here, and our own care, their free education, their welfare, thier housing. And they steal jobs that Americans will do.

But please, if you have information to place the blaim on a governor of a state for a Federally created problem, let me know so I can look it up.

You WERE talking about California and again, that is why I brought up then-Governor Reagan. However, I've tried to find reference on the web, all to no avail. My husband (who grew up in SoCal) had told me the story.(Bear in mind my husband is Libertarian at best, bordering-on-conservative at worst LOL. IOW, he's no liberal.)

But because I cannot independently verify (other than numerous references to then-Governor Reagan ignoring the influx of illegal migrant workers, which was greatly to the benefit of farm owners) I will rescind that statement.

Fair is fair. If I find something I will post it.

FWIW, I don't think this is strictly an Obama (read: Democrat OR Republican) issue. After all, wasn't Bush about ready to grant amnesty to some 11 million illegals? It's a problem that we as a nation have faced practically since our founding.

Despite rhetoric to the contrary, it is NOT an easy issue to solve. One can screech that all we have to do is enforce existing laws, but no one (especially the screechers) wants to pay for that and I daresay it cannot be done with current funding/staffing levels at the appropriate agencies.

If you have an easy solution, I would suggest you send it along to the appropriate authorities. But as long as big business benefits from illegals (and they do), I can't see much of anything beyond token gestures being done about the problem.

Call me a cynic. You'd be right.

I have done as you, all I find is a artical about the mistake he made in not dealing with the problem he inherited from Carter.

Nothing involving California.

The bill he signed on to in '86, the one with no enforcement that has just made the situation worse.

Still, the artical goes back to Killer Kennedy and the bill he wrote and pushed through in '65, the root of the problem.

As for no answer to the problem, follow Irs lead of the '50's, deportation is the onlt answer.

Then and only then can you get a just system placed into effect.

Wait in line, be tested, make sure you are nota criminal, nor sick or carrying something that we cleaned up years ago.

I do not have the answer, but the above is a stsrt that will help clean up the system, save money in the long run, since they cost us 338 billion a year.

Can we afford this year after year???

Nice to talk at YA, sorry abot the Pi$$ comment.
