Great news! Now we West-Enders will have a place to shop, not hindered by Rabbit Transit dropping THEM off at Wal-Mart. THEY sure won't be visiting Kohl's; except possibly to shoplift. WMTWP: please charge Kohl's for repairing/resurfacing the driveways/parking lot. Still can't find my VW Beetle since it disappeared in one of those humongous potholes at WM MALL.

Kohls is forward looking; has a good spy in town. When Memorial Hospital builds on the old Hawk Lake Golf Course, the whole area will improve. I expect an out-patient surgical center to go in the old Giant.

I along with many others stopped going to the West Manchester Mall after Wal-Mart was allowed to seal-off the mall entrance from the rest of the mall -- that decision by the Mall Management / Owners was the “Death” of the West Manchester Mall.

I live in the west end, bringing a Kohl’s to the West Manchester Mall will not bring me back to this mall - If I want to shop at Kohl’s I go to Springettsbury Township ...

:-) So excited for this mall to be revitalized! It has been going downhill for the last 7 or so years! I grew up going there when it was packed any day of the week. and now I am not sure how any of the stores is staying afloat. yes we need a more upscale store. Walmart doesn't even count as part of the mall. they are the reason the mall has gone down hill. it was more like MALL-mart. the mall was the walmart. I for one can't stand that place! Looking forward to being able to shop on this end of town. YEAH for Kohls!

WHy did mal management let Walmart seal itself off from the reat of the mall? This mall has been on a death spiral for several years. I'll still go t the east side, this mall is dangerous w/ car jackings & other crimes

Kohls...It is the shot in the arm WMM needs...The Mall is a Ghost town!...If and when Kohls does come aboard, new security measures must be adopted. The Gangs of Shoplifters has to be controlled or better yet eliminated,I don't know how,but the "Powers That Be" must manage that issue. The above is what drove myself and other shoppers away...Who wants to take the family to shop and be harassed by and subjected to the foul language used by ..well you get the picture!..If you don't fix that problem, you will be back to square one in a few years.
My advice to Kohls or what other tenant that plans to occupy the old Value City space and whoever runs the WMM these days...You must convey to the Criminal element that they and their activities will not be tolerated and at the same time convey the message to the law abiding shopper that their saftey and well being is first and foremost!

I think its going to take more than a kohls to bring the mall back.I'm not a big fan of kohls as I think its kinda like a ollies but cheap stuff expensive.(JMO)
The mall to me has never been the same since walmart sealed it off.It cut down alot of foot traffic out into the mall which is a reason friendly's and other stores didn't make it.And I really don't agree with the permit fee either as the article stated the township looks to benefit from the $10,000 building permit fee as well as the addition of a major retailer to the area.As bad as things are with businesses now those fees should be waived and they should be kissing their butts to move in there!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
