Give Sestak chance to make case to voters

The Pennsylvania Democratic Party would do well to pay attention to a new poll released by Susquehanna Research and Polling showing that, by a margin of greater than 2-to-1, state Democrats think Arlen Specter should have to compete in a primary to become the Democratic nominee.

Even though I do not agree with Sestak's politics, I would rather have him than Specter if a Democrat wins the seat. Time to go home Arlen. Game over.

Do not worry. Sestak already has it wrapped up. I got an email from Joe Hoeffel in Montgomery County and he is already jumping ship on Specter and has personally informed me he will support Sestak. This is already splitting Montgomery County between Hoeffel and Marcel Groen supporters. There is an internal push in Montgomery County politics to decide what the leadeship will be and what candidates will be supported.

The writing is on the wall that despite Groen's ties to Specter, the established labor vote and moderate vote will put their support to Sestak when the time comes and it matters.

Everyone knows Specter is loyal to himself only, not the Democratic Party. They absolutely will not be putting thier money behind him. This has been clearly espoused to me by a number of Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks and Chester big wigs.
