I'm so glad the meth lab on Peppermint Lane was discovered and all those losers were arrested. Even an 85 yr old man! I hope the judge throws the book at them!

The poor old man isn't able to take care of himself. There's no way he could have defended himself if he had tried to stop them from doing that in his house. Its a damn shame that his good for nothing family done that to him. Im so glad they got the trash off the street but I hope they take it easy on the old man.

I'm not surprised to hear of this drug bust. Those druggies were always hanging out in the store parking lot!

I can't believe how old they look for their age! I hope the baby that the pregnant woman is carrying will be okay. It is so sad for that poor baby.

...Well, very sad.

I know James King from way back when he lived in Michigan and was much younger- Hell, looking at his photo from this bust and I am amazed that we are the same age- He looks like he has lived a hard life.

I must say, this whole thing is surprising. Granted, its been over 15 years since I have really known the "King's" but Meth??? They have always been pretty hard partying people- But not with "hard drugs" if that make sense.

Anyhow, I was hoping to comment here and express something which really bugs me about all this- James has a Son (who is now an adult) who was trying to help him get away from that area- His Son was going to pay for a Bus ticket last month and James was planning on coming back up here- He did not, and look where he is now.

Its so sad to me to see an old friend caught up in all this- James was always a really good friend to me as was his entire family- I have no idea what happened here but the idea that Debbie (his Mom) knew what was going on and is being charged is also disturbing and (truthfully) I find it very hard to believe. I have known Debbie and have never known her to be around anything like this, in fact I have never even seen Debbie in intoxicated and at most have only seen her drink a beer or two.

-My feelings are that the Police are being very shady here and trying to wrap everyone up for charges who probably have no business being charged- yet the State will make more money and (possibly) seize assets. The Police can be the biggest thieves of all.

This whole thing is saddening. Its sad to know that a once good friend has thrown his life away to drugs- Its sad to see the totalitarian State arresting everyone- The whole things...Is ...Just sad.

Ya it is disturbing when old friends get caught up like this. Jus to let u in on a lil insight to the situation tho, debbie was on pills just as bad as the rest of them. If im not mistaken she recently got a sale and delivery charge as well. The whole situation up on that hill was getting out of hand and everyone knew something was going to happen eventually. But, Meth, wow it blows even my mind.

It's hard to believe that a 85 year old would be guilty of allegedly making meth. If true, that is sad.

-Whats sad is that it is the 85 year old's home - Thats why he is being charged, for asset forfeiture.

James (who was the one doing the meth cooking if what I am hearing is true) has nothing to his name... Kristen (James Sister) and her Husband were there and using drugs but also had nothing to do with the "Lab"- The others I have no clue about.

James and Debbie were living with Debbies father (the 85 year old)and thus the Police are wanting to take his home and property (from my understanding) so are tying him up as an accomplice. I also understand that the reason is that the "smell" was so pronounced that he should have known something was "going on"- However, at 85 years old one may not have all their faculties with them.

The idea that everyone there is "caught up" in some serious charges is absurd. The one "running" the Lab should be charged as such , but the others ...Not so much. Maybe charged with possession? I dont know...But major Felony Charges for just "being there" is overkill.

-Also, what is the deal with the :"aggravated robbery" (which prompted the Police to the home- supposedly...)

From my understanding (a news article) they were citing this as a "major Bust" and seized over $1000 supposedly acquired from drug activity.

My question would be- What "major" Drug traffickers commit stupid robberies if they are making "so much" money off of drugs? I have never known any of the "King's" to have more than a few dollars in their pockets- Ever.

Sounds to me like perhaps they were drug addicts as opposed to "dealers" and were cooking personal amounts (the robbery probably paid for the supplies IMHO) yet this is being cited as a 'major bust"-

Was him and his mom the cooks i cant see that. The grandpa seemed to be really sick i agree they just want to take his property. This is so sad to me.....there is lil kids without mom and dad.

Wow kids without mom and dad? Kristen and Rich lost their kids two months ago becasuse they couldn't pass their drug tests. You can't live in a house that has had meth cooked in it. In most cases they either burn them down or bulldoze them.

You need to accept the truth about your family and what they've done. They are DRUG DEALERS and have been for a long time. They don't work, yet they had over $1,000.00 in their house along with hundreds of plastic bottles where they had been making meth and SELLING it. I'm sure you're probably worried that your granddad's property will be seized and that's possible, but in the very least, the home has been quarantined and may be condemned. How long has it been since you've seen house? It's dilapidated and now full of meth. The King's have been making a ton of money off drug dealing, but have nothing to show for it but ruined lives. Cooking personal amounts of meth? No. I don't think so. Not at all. The robbery? Another one of Jame's drug deals gone bad. And yes this is a MAJOR drug bust. Thank you to Sheriff Burns for shutting this rat hole meth lab down.

No, the police are NOT the shady ones in this mess and NO the police are not the thieves. You know the truth, but do not want to accept it. How many times over the years has James said he's going to leave town? Just every time he gets into trouble or his girl has dumped him. How many times has he been in jail? How many people has he assaulted? James is a serial criminal. You're obviously worried about the property being seized because you have a familial interest in it. I hope it is seized and auctioned off. The house itself needs to be demolished. You make yourself sound ridiculous with the points you're trying to make.
