Why do people always think of the environment, we are not hurting it in any way, the whole global warming was a hoax get with the program, and for the bags being BAN is just going to cause more unemployment, and for biodegradable is just going to rise prices on groceries. so whatever is what i would say, is not like they asked for our vote.

And who says that the plastic bags are not reusable?
1. I use it as a one or two time lunch bag
2. use as a garbage bag<--# 1 choice of use.
3. store things temporarily
There is all sorts of use for these plastic bags, and if we are going to @#$@# about plastic bags why don't we just ban plastic all together, and lets not forget Styrofoam get those @#$#% out the restaurants tooo....

This foot-in-the-door Lowenthal grocery bag harassment tax had its genesis in revolutionary Long Beach. Long Beach is home to one of the most radical of the expensive taxpayer supported of the States' university system, second only to that of Berkeley, of "filthy speech" fame. Wealthy "Liberal" university snobs have long looked down their noses at the States' increasingly impoverished worker *("middle")* class minority who are forced to pay their exorbitant salaries, and who are "on the hook" *(so to speak")* for $ Billions $ more worth of unfunded taxpayer obligated retirement moneys.

In a more humane era, California legislators exempted Californians from the need to pay increasingly burdensome sales taxes on food. The post-60's era revolutionary element who are now firmly in control of California have always resented that - what they call - "tax break". I fear the Lowenthal grocery and goods bag harassment tax is the first step towards imposing a confiscatory Government sales tax on food, just as Californians have been burdened with goods taxes.

Incidentally, the revolutionaries are all too clever. In Long Beach, the voting majority of city residents who pay for their groceries with taxpayer funded food stamps are exempt from paying the Lowenthal harassment tax.

No. The post was directed towards your post. I did not cut and paste from a previous post.

It's unfortunate that you are engaged in gainful employment. You may be aware that, when the California revolutionary ruling class politicians tally up the income of "the poor", they only tally various kinds of taxpayer provided cash income. Once their of-kind benefits - such as "free" taxpayer funded telephones, food stamps, and myriad other taxpayer funded "entitlements" - including their exemption from being required to pay the Lowenthal grocery bag harassment tax - are included though, one can easily understand why the States' voting majority - the so-called "the poor" - are living a lifestyle far and above that of the minority of struggling worker *("middle")* class employed people whom the politicians are charging to pay for it.

Outlaw plastic cars? Never. If the corrpted EPA and the liberal left have their way with mandatory max MPG for cars and trucks, they'll be made *completely* of plastic. The airbags in these cars will also be your bodybag.

FHTM’s Judicial Manipulation results in near DEATH!
Not only are they arrogant enough to think they have to the right to destroy me financially but they continued the harassment and intentional lies to the Federal courts until I was on my death bed almost gone. The facts of the briefs and filing seem to be so elusive yet the documents are merely based on unsubstantiated speculation and outright lies. The manipulation of our justice system and the never ending harassment resulted in a massive heart attack for me.
FHTM has engaged in a malicious prosecution since the very beginning. Filing a trademark violation case for using the world “Fortune” which they knew was owned by Time Magazine, and not them, was just a way to take advantage of me, cause emotional stress and drag me through the court system, costing me 100’s of thousands of dollars that I didn’t have in order to defend against their BS.
This has been a case of malicious prosecution and I should be protected by the tort laws against unjustifiable and unreasonable litigation. The ex- FHTM general counsel, who by the way was not even licensed to practice law in Kentucky during her tenure with them has displayed a great deal of malice and wrongful intent. She carried pent up dislike and animosity toward me, when I refused to kiss her ass. She attempted to intimidate me as their general counsel when in fact she was acting as a lawyer illegally. She has since been reprimanded by the Kentucky Bar Association. She demonstrated sloppy legal and factual research by creating suppositions and rumors instead of facts. No evidence existed or exists to back any of their claims. There is a great imbalance in power between the parties, with an apparent desire by FHTM to intimidate or punish me. If they had a case with legal merit they would have never agreed to a settlement in June 2011 let alone based on the terms they initiated.
FHTM continues to purposefully engage in behavior that is intended to cause severe mental anguish and they should be penalized for the intentional infliction of emotional distress. Their behavior should be deemed as extreme and outrageous.
I don’t think they will be satisfied until I am on welfare and living in a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere. I feel it is being done intentionally to cause emotional distress with reckless disregard to me as a person. This willful neglect has further resulted in damages to my reputation, loss of gainful employment and almost my death.
I have left them alone this past year since the settlement. No media interviews, no television appearances and no blogging. It doesn’t matter. They are so hell bent on blaming me for every negative comment made about them anywhere on the internet that they are blinded by the fact that others despise them as well. They have made me the scapegoat for all of their fraudulent ways. If they spent as much time in fixing their lies to act more like a real business then they wouldn’t need to continue to harass and destroy me.
Their continued malicious prosecution and harassment resulted in my stress level hitting the roof in August 2011 causing a major life threatening heart attack. I underwent two major surgeries inside of a month to save my life.
I was forced into retirement and went broke as a direct result of the litigation by FHTM in their attempt to kill me. They hired another group of lawyers and pursued me harder than before. It is like they smelled the blood and won’t let up till I am gone from the face of the earth permanently.
Who in their sane mind would ever think that such a respectable company would spend all of their resources on attempted murder? They knew of my heart attack last summer but yet instead of going their separate ways, as agreed, they dug in harder, deeper and became more vicious. Their intentions are clear - don’t rest until I am dead and gone. Can this be considered attempted murder?
