The parrots come to the eucalyptus trees in front of our apartment at 20800 W. Homestead Rd. just about every morning around 7:30 or 8:00 am. They love to eat the flowers.

I love parrots. I bake them at 350 for one hour. Yes, they taste just like chicken. Serve with rice, refryed beans, red onions and red wine.

I saw them yesterday at Lynn and Knickerbocker - in the Cherry Chase neighborhood. There was a small treeful, maybe 30-40 parrots. They squawked cheerfully for about 15 minutes before abruptly flying away. They didn't seem at all afraid of the 3 humans gawking at them. But they panicked and fled possibly because of the approach of a couple of crows.

I actually saw a flock of them in Santa Clara in the eighties. They were in some trees near Calabazas creek, near the railroad tracks. This was a big flock. I imagine it was a good place to be because there were tons of fruit trees lining both sides of the creek - remnants of orchards, I guess.
This area is close to the Sunnyvale border, so not far from their normal neighborhood.

Hello!
I am a naturalist and I have an idea to start a study on the range and distribution of the sunnyvale parrots! I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who has ever seen the parrots could send in the approximate date and most importantly the location where they have seen the parrots! This way I can construct a map of the range of these parrots, and in the future study how quickly they expand their territory!
Thanks!

Back in the 80's they used to hang out behind sports authority (back then it was Home Depot) in a tree in front of a church. There was only 2. The word back then was they escaped from someones house/ pet store
