There are several mystery's that are close to home, this one, the Mark Ariens murder and several others, there are people that know what happened and maybe one day thier conscious will get the best of them.

There is also the Bruce Boyer case from around the 70's. Evidently their hearts and minds are not bothering them. I'm like you I wish that all of these cold cases get solved, until then there are murders walking free around us.

bruce boyer was a 1967 murder. mark ariens was a really sad killing to, there is no reason they should ever stop looking for their killers.. the bolton boy was so cute . i hope they find all of their murderers. was the pflum girl the one from around everton? that is all so sad. i pray they do find those killers and put them in the electric chair after they are tortured for weeks on end. they will get theirs in the end!!!!

I grew up with Denise. She was a farm girl from Everton and very athletic. She was a few years younger than me. I saw her the night before she disappeared at a party. I did not stay long and my date and I left around 8PM, if I remember correctly. I just can't fathom a man trying to wrestle her from a car. She would have put up a good fight. And to have no traces of footprints or other evidence from the car is baffling. I don't think she did drugs either so I don't understand why anyone would want to kill her. I moved to NC in 1989 and remember seeing her picture on a missing persons notice at the Durham airport. That was freaky. So sad for the parents having to deal with this loss and not knowing what happened for so long.

It's not really important, but are you sure about the date of Bruce's death? I lived in Metamora in the late 60's and early 70's and I was thinking his death occurred around Thanksgiving between 1969 and 1972. Just wondering....It's a shame that it happened and also a shame that his murderer was never found.

Maybe you weren't around here then, but the location of the party was widely known AND the parties questioned.

Denise left the party and went home. The next morning she realized she had forgotten her purse, and asked a friend to drive with her to pick it up at house on the farm where the party was. Her friend could not go, and Denise left to go herself. Her car was found locked on Tower Rd., and was looked at by FBI, who found no trace of fingerprints. I don't think she made it back to where the party was. I can't believe it has been so long ago. I went to school with Denise, she was not the type anyone would ever expect to runaway, and never in any trouble that I know of. All so sad.

I think her dad is the one who killed her. He was quite a womanizer. He also had a bad temper. We think she probably ended up in the lake.
