Booolsheeet. Maybe if you figure HIS salary into it. There will be 10-15 >100,000 jobs, 20-30 ~30-45,000 jobs, and 250 $9.00/hr jobs.

What about the other 775 jobs you forgot to list? Or could it be that they will actually employ on an average base of 18 bucks an hour?

Maybe management will be successful in keeping out the unions that will erode what money there is to be made here. I remember when this guy started this business and hats off to him for staying where it has been beneficial to him.

That's the spirit there ahab. Might want to dust off that calculater you got for Christmas back in 98.

This must be driving the Dems nuts.

On the losing end, car audio manufacturer Harman/Becker Automotive Systems in Martinsville announced it is shuttering operations, tossing 340 out of work by next January.

Why didn't they just fire 50 people or so and keep the business going?

"Tax credits are bad. Stop giving preferential treatment to your corporate buddies". Mayor Ballard and his supporters before the election.$6 million in tax incentives after the election. "Business development is good". Nice to have it both ways. "Ballard lies. Don't Believe Steve".

This company is hidden under the name of Management 2000 LLC which has a shady tax record. No mention of that in the press release.

Nah, some folks have seen how companies treat Indy. Like a back water toilet. Squeeze out the credits, take advantage of them and then flush the whole thing when done with it.(the United MOC II facility - 2000 jobs down the toilet!)

Exactly. I'm sure it was much easier to rail against tax credits and business incentives before he actually had any idea what he was talking about. I certainly don't fault him for offering incentives. We should. We have to. But to use that against Peterson as a campaign tactic was ridiculous.

Defender wasn't going anywhere..it was all a big hoax. Also, with the turnover at Defender because 95% of the jobs are telemarking jobs it will be easy for them to add the jobs necessary to make the incentives....they do not take into account net churn....Defender pulled the wool over several peoples eyes

This company is aweful from top to bottom. They threaten their employees, the "sales techs" that if they don't SELL over 500.00 of equipment to an old lady living off 800 bucks a month and who just got her house broken into then you are not doing your best. That is the attitude of this company behind all the "people grow" BS its all about taking as much advantage of its customers and techs as they can. The products are cheap as hell to and their all GE sensors made in mexico and china, they they pawn off for 120.00 and up. These sensors break frequently and malfunction. BS company!
