Blech...that should be "According to officers, the morale in IMPD increased the moment Ballard was elected."

The picture is so funny. It looks like Mitch is saying to himself... "I can't believe I am up here pushing this stupid A** company." Hope I get the Dish Network for free. Ha Ha Ha...

You sound like one of those clowns who think the new Colts stadium will create jobs.
<quoted text>
GE closing in Bloomington: they are making fridges that are no longer in demand
Pfizer closing: this is because their product, inhaled insulin, is not marketable and was a disaster
Manufacturing jobs leaving: this is happening EVERYWHERE. However, Indiana is suffering LESS than its neighboring states. All other states around Indiana have higher unemployment rates.
Overall, I think its a foolish statement to say these jobs are minimum wage. How do you know? Do you honestly think sales and installation people only get paid minimum wage? You are crazy. They may not be $100K jobs, but they are JOBS nonetheless. Indiana gaining 1,000+ jobs is a great thing. GREAT thing.
I don't understand how people come on here and complain about jobs being ADDED? No matter what they pay. You most likely:
1) bitter because you lost your job and don't have education to get a better one
2) hate Indiana
Get an education, stop complaining, and grow up.
Sounds like you hate Indiana because Indiana is improving itself and you are not.

Everything has a market value. If people are paying it then it's not over-priced.

Wow. They take every employee to Cancun? Who is minding the shop? 491 employees the article states and now more employees, I'm thinking their service is overpriced for them to afford taking that many people to Cancun.

I am also shocked at the negative responses regarding a company increasing its presence here in Indiana. Although I have no tech skills, I am hoping they will need additional office support (P/R, A/P, A/R)? Yes, I have went back to school to get my degree (Batchelors) in accounting at the age of 54. Will I strike a gold mine in that area of work as far as pay? I doubt it but it is sustainable.
Thank you for seeing the opportunity in this article, for bettering yourself through education, which betters our community, and for being such a great example! There is plenty of need for your skills...accounting IS the business in ANY business.

I have come up with a way to describe the professional whiners who constantly find some way to turn jobs, prosperity and growth into bad news for seems nothing is ever good enough for the chronically miserable! Those whiners are poster children for the chronically miserable. Get a life and get off this board!

As long as they're not grated tax abatements then pack up and leave, screwing us property tax payers, it's fine with me.

I agree. People are so negative. Granted I don't really look at these jobs as hi tech but hey they are jobs.

I guess people in Indy are going to start trashing the Mayor early. Tim is what our media lives for as a reader.

well, actually, and not to rain on the parade for Ballard, this was either a state deal, or set up during the Peterson years, and Ballard just gets to stand in the wings. Since the conference was in the Guv's office, I'm betting it was a state deal. Remember, Ballard didn't appoint his economic development deputy mayor until this week, so I'm pretty sure that the new Mayor had little if anything to do with this deal...

If your spelling and grammar are no better than this example, you might consider asking for your money back.
