Is it just me or does it seem like wee have convicted criminals applying for and getting leadership roles in our communities at an alarming rate?.Certainly i believe in second chances but come on bribery charges, guess that makes him the most qualified candidate lol.

I would not expect anything better from Sunland Park. That place is like Juarez with its corrupt officials.

As a Sunland Park resident, I support the job Mr. Aguilera is doing. People need to realize the mess the City of Sunland Park is in. IT IS REALLY BAD! Natrually when someone comes in and holds people accountable and fires incompetent people, you will have staff like Luz Troncoso, the City Librarian who is not qualified to hold that position, begin attacking and hide behind the Mayor and Council who support her.

"My little Jamie did nothing wrong. He's such a good little boy."

The city of TorC was so glad to see him go. He did a piss poor job there. Perhaps he will be happier among his kind. Maybe he can hook up with Manny Aragon in the near future.

Troncoso you didn't bite your tongue when you called the news because from what we can see you got your position as a LIBRARY DIRECTOR as a payback for helping the mayor in his campaign. Not because of your QUALIFICATIONS. We in the community are starting to know what kind of person you are. Your a phony, the rest of the citizens need to know that your not really against the landfill because you did nothing to stop the mayor from signing a contract with them. Your phony and your fake. We will no longer believe in you.

Lake Trash, I am guessing you are Kim Audette or one of her sad bunch of losers who are doing everything possible to keep T or C from ever becoming economically viable. Jaime Aguilera did more for this town in two years that has been accomplished in the past 50.

And another thing - if you can't spell his name right, you're even dumber than we all think. Who would have thought it possible.

Aren't these the same voters who elected a municipal judge who doesn't even live in the state? What can one expect from idiots?

"According to court records in Riverside County, Calif., Aguilera pleaded not guilty to four felony counts of bribery. Although the records state that he pleaded guilty on Jan. 11, 2002, to an amended charge, Aguilera said he actually entered a plea of "no contest" to the misdemeanor of facilitating a bribe.
Courts treat a plea of no contest the same as a conviction.
John Hall, spokesman for the Riverside County district attorney, confirmed Aguilera's conviction."

So... what, the DA's office is wrong? The court records are wrong? And that makes the EPTimes (DWV is a reporter there, NOT the Sun News, they are part of the same chain) eligible to be sued?

Someone needs a nap.

Thanks Sunland Park now that you have joined
the ranks of those governmental organizations
that have actively sought out and hired Felons -

PRC Commissioner Jones and his two time convicted
Felon to run his office - and who else knows what
was done for or to him by this person?

Now we find out that the CM from SP is a convicted
crook whose charges were dropped from Felony to
Misdemeanor while all along he claims that he
was just a innocent victim that introduced someone
to someone else.

This type of behavior by Public Officials now
coupled with the arrogance of the LC CM along
with most of the President Odumba and Governor
Pay for Play Richardson along with his State
Treasurers (2 of them) is disgusting.

What do they have all in common - their Dumb as
Craps.

Aguilera was also the T or C City Manager (at the time) when questioned about the July 6, 2007 hot springs death at the Charles Motel and "Spa" (that was not reported to the NM State Environment Dept. by owner Kathy Clark) who said, "People die in motels everyday" - suggesting what's the big deal? When Aguilera was confronted about his remark noting that it was not about a person dying in a motel room, but the customer was actually in a hot mineral water tub soaking at the time of death (with no obvious attendant on duty in the soaking area), Aguilera said, "it's not the city's business to question the death".

And, when the Environment Dept. DID hold a public meeting on Dec. 11, 2007 to allow comment on this and new rules and regulations for T or C's commercial hot springs, what happened? Three weeks later ANOTHER death at The Charles Motel and "Spa" - and again, a customer soaking in the hot mineral water. What did Aguilera do that time?
Praised Kathy Clark in the Herald Newspaper for helping T or C "skirt" rules and regulations - calling the hot springs "historic" - and NOT needing such "strict" regulations!

Hot springs soakers are truly soaking at their own risk! Tourists have NO clue about the poor level of safety, health and sanitation. Anybody ever checked the number of people with Hep C, HIV/AIDS in T or C using the hot springs pools/tubs (or those "tourists" coming in to "take the waters" with those infectious diseases)?

And do you think the pools/tubs are sanitary? Think again. Even though the Environment Dept. now requires weekly water testing, who's doing it? And better yet, publicly posting it?

Head Desk suggests a nap. How about a "wake-up" call to the unsuspecting public. EP Times AND LC Sun-News should take this up for publication.

Aguilera did EVERYTHING in his power to "protect" the out-of-compliance hot springs owners. Shameful.

LMAO...ya think you're in trouble now. Just wait. Aguilera ran from here, hoping that if he left he won't be prosecuted. Not only will he talk employees into committing crimes, but he'll cost the City of Sunland Park millions, eventually, in lawsuits.
Oh, and if you fully research Aguilera, you'll see that he has left each of his previous city jobs in the midst of controversy and prosecutions...one step ahead, except in Cathedral City. The guy is a career criminal.

Hello, April.
If you weren't such a fan of Aguilera, why did you help him by committing perjury on some documents. Was it the money they paid you--or was it simply Stagner who did the paying--to start the Green recall to take the spotlight off the valid recall of Stagner.
Love to have you on the show as a guest. I'd even be willing to let you have "approval" on your segment. Want to talk some truths?

Another pseudonym. Another coward.
Like convince the commission that the Federal Privacy Act was only intended and never enacted.(5/2008) That little stunt is going to cost them $2000 per illegal SSN gathered.
Like convince the commission that the state bars the building inspector from inspecting commercial buildings.(9/22/08). That little stunt is going to cost them a million.
Like convince the commission that buying a big xerox machine (tangible personal property) to house our municipal court rather than construct a public works building was a good idea. That's going to cost the individual commissioners $60K each and someone is going to jail.
Oh, and there's some missing $$$ that the State Auditor is looking into. My, goodness. You can't walk into a state agency that doesn't have TorC under a major investigation.
And yeah, right. TorC has never been economically viable since before I was even born, all because of me. I am so powerful. Ignorance is not bliss. It is simply stupid.

There it is again. Do you honestly believe that you are the only person capable of intelligent thought, Brad? You're new here and would do well to get to know the people before setting yourself up as intellectual judge and jury.
