Are there any good daycares in Lubbock

Lufkin, TX

We are new to Lubbock and have two grandchildren that need placement in a fulltime Christian daycare/preschool. We have a one year old and a two year(28 mos.) old. The two year old is developmentally delayed and has some sensory processing issues. He is currently receiving Early Childhood Intervention. We need an environment that will be supportive and nurturing for these children. Any comments/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Thomas Treasures! Lubbock is a great place to own a child care business! I hope that all is going well for you so far! Do you do after school pick up? I will definitley take a look at your website this week and would love to help you spread the word about your new facility!
Have a great week!

HR Learning Academy In home Daycare is a BAD Daycare. The staff is great when they are there but the owner is hateful, she has bad energy, she badmouths parents, makes you feel unwelcome to come in the home past a certain point or a certain period of time. I personally witnessed her answer the door from a different direction of the house with her being the only one there while 3 or 4 crying infants under 6 mos. were unattended. When I let myself out, she left the opposite direction suggesting she had no intention of addressing those poor babies. My child would not go near her and was always afraid when it was just her. I took him out. Diapers were changed, the house was clean, kids were fed but that is it. There were not any signs of nurturing from her. I also heard when she didnt like kids attending, she would raise the rate so they would leave on their own or kick you out.
I had the worst experience with this lady as well. The kids were locked up in a gate all two boys (1 years old) at the time would come screaming and crying out of that room everytime I picked them up. Something just didn't feel right. She was very rude to us everytime. My husband said on two different occassions of dropping them off, when he tried to hand them to her they screamed and clinged on to him. Breaks my heart. Please, please DO NOT leave your kids with this lady!!!!

Also, to top it off. When our tax preparer called HR Learning Academy and spoke to the owner (melissa), she was very rude to her and refused to give her her information to prepare our taxes. She said she never heard of us and didn't know our kids. She does very bad business. Wouldn't trust her with anything.

I plan on moving to Lubbock in the near future and I have an 8 month old right now. She will probably be around 1yr 1/2 whenever we move and I really would like to know of a good, reliable, safe place to leave her and possibly even work at! Right now I'm working at a daycare so I get free daycare for my daughter. I was wondering if there were any places like that in Lubbock?

If you can wait, in January Master Sang Kim is opening a preschool (3-6 years old)and kindergarten in his new strip center near the new Walmart on 82nd near Milwaukee. Small child to teacher ratio, music, books, karate, certified teachers. Should be very nice.
I took my daughter to Creative Learning Center because of the camera system they advertise...she would come home with bite marks, severe diaper rashes, hand foot and mouth virius, and even after a semester would plead with me not to leave to me that meant they were probably not very kind...also they charge more because of the camera system but the semester she was there it worked only 1 day. If u go there and they say its working and they show u their camera system it will work but it will most likely not work when u pull it up on ur computer at home as it never did for me...hope this helps...if u find a good daycare let me know!

i worked at a few day cares here in lubbock, and having children of my own i know i can speak honestly when i say this... RIPLEY DoDAS is the most amazing day care in this town, i started taking my child there when he was 2 he had and still has adhd really bad, and they treated him with kindness and love, i had a baby and started taking her there when she was 6 months bc i started working there, so i saw Everything first hand, And i promise you never once did i see any cruelty or mal treatment going on,this place is amazing..... As far as Doodle bug... NEVER TAKE UR CHILD i worked there and the employees were slapping the kids leaving them in drty diapers, screaming at them, just not a good place.... Kids are Cool on the other hand is good as well as far as them caring for your children the owner TRUELY does, But they have friends and family members working for them so the drama rating is very high, its hard for them to get on to a teacher thats a cousin or a friend......

Looking for quality. Broad Horizons Learning Center is quality. Rising star 4 stars and TSR. The best pre-school teachers. The caregivers are great with the kids. Come by and check the facility and the curriculum program.

I have to say at first I really like Creative Learning Center as my daughter loved attending. I did have to address an incident involving a teacher yelling at a little one. I left it at that as Princess supposedly addressed the issue. I recently removed my child as I caught a teacher yelling at another student. Me and my husband attempted to address it with Princess but was repeatedly blown off. My daughter has not been back since the day I caught the teacher yelling at another. I know that the child wasn't mine, but it was not right. I am very disappointed with management not taking it seriously. I too reported it to child care licensing .

This place is now Radient Health a chiropractic clinic that is a member of the 34th Street Association of Lubbock Texas. There was once a day care on this corner. It changed names a couple of times and then went out of business.

My Little Playhouse Learning Center is the best experience so far with child care centers. I have had my daughter with both home care providers and child care centers and this place has been a lifesaver. They are great with the kids, the staff is easy to communicate with. Love it and my daughter loves going!

Does anyone knows whether Kid's kingdom day care is good? I am going to come to Lubbock and looking for a place for my three year old baby. Been researching for several places but they got no vacant spot. Any comments would help! Thanks.

I haven't heard anything about kids kingdom. I would though stay away from doodle bug square. The owner's husband who is always there is an alcoholic. He left his own child in the car for hours, he of course was not sober. The girl in the afterschool program talks inappropriately and her marriage problems in front of kids. I would not trust a facility that cannot control her household with my children.
Creative learning center is also horrible. Their ratios are outrageous! There are never enough teachers for the infants rooms. The infant rooms are dirty and really not sanitary. I would definately stay away from these childcare facilities.
The one and only daycare I would recommend is Wee Care on 19th. They are awesome. Jill is on top of her game. It is cleaned and sanitized two to three times daily. The teachers there really care for the kids. Hope this helps:)
