Please. No one goes in as is. Just waisted space. Pretty sad when even employees won't shop there due to prices.

You are talking about a company with 2600 stores after the merger, many of which are in close proximity to each other. There is no reason to believe that the job cuts won't be in the thousands. This move was about the survival of two companies that are struggling. They cannot possibly retain all the stores and employees.

Pissed at OD While you are correct in your thought of closing stores, there is one problem. OD is now laying off, (from what I can tell in mass numbers) its employeese. What is not evedient is a anouncement about it. And the merger has not been finalized. Meaning this could be the end of OD if this does not go through. Also isnt it funny that the layoffs come right after a proxy contest from Starboard to force OD to set a anual meeting date in which the court sided with Starboard. Meeting date Aug 21 2013. This now give OD two months to layoff as many as they can to make there numbers look good at that meeting.

Terrible unethical and not following legal guidelines. It's in a state of chaos where they do not care about the morale of employees. They lie and cause confusion. There is no structure. Roland the ceo says one thing dms say another.
People are not dumb this is just a bad culture!!
Its all political.
They are leading people on and causing fear so much is uncertain. This will cause a negative impact as trust falls and cultures clash.
Everyone is watching out for them selves.
It was not a merger of equals. They are scared to tell the truth because people will leave they will let you know last minute.
Leave now if you can.

People were promised things there are no fair objective guidelines. This company is doomed as cultures collide. No direction no help. Comps are down over 15%!!!!!

I have heard rumors that the Holcomb Bridge Road store and the store up in Cumming GA are in danger of closure. The store in Cumming is 100 feet down the road from an OfficeMax. A former store manager for OD told me about the Cumming store.
