I worked for a veterinarian who also abused patients. Is there anything I can do now since I witnessed these incidents more than a year ago?

Call the disciplinary board of vetinarian services. I did that on a local vet when complaints came in about him. He deliberely cut a dogs nails short below the quick just to watch them scream. Another one charged almost 100 dollars for a bottle of anti diarreah medication. We want to think that all vets are loving, and the reason why they went into medicine was because they have a love for animals. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. It is safe to say though that there are just a few who need to have their licenses removed.

I would like to read that someone punched that vet in the face 5 times and dislodged his eye. That would be great

This is a very disturbing and disgusting story. I feel that any vet tech who has witnessed abuse of animals by the vet they work for has a moral and civil obligation to report this abuse to the authorities. This should not be allowed to happen, period. This man should receive jail time, and hopefully the inmates will punch his eyes out. God bless that poor little dog with a speedy recovery!

I hope the judge throws the book at this low life.He should spent some serious jail time for his actions. There is no telling how many animals he has abused.I hope they also revoke his licence.

Thinking this guy must be on drugs.

To me this is just as bad as if a doctor were to abuse their patients. He should have his Vet License taken away and should never be allowed near animals again.

It is good and wise of you to seek an opinion..
Do something about this IMMEDIATELY.

It is SO important. especially since these little patients cannot speak for themselves, it has fallen to the attention of a good person like you, to be their voice ... the only voice they have..

Please please do what you have been inspired to do by writing here..

Take Vee's sound advice above, she is guiding you right...
I wouldn't knoe, living in a different country...
You'll never regret helping in this way...

Something has inspired you to do so...
Thank God, caring folks like you still exist...

This vet is lucky I was not there to witness that
because he would be laying on the ground!! If I was a co-worker I would not just be standing around watching this.

Your an IDIOT and a FOOL!!

Why would you WAIT OVER A YEAR if it bothered you so much??
It's kind of PATHETIC of you to bring this up now, when AS SOON AS YOU LEFT you should of done something...if not the DAY AFTER you left.
I understand NOT saying anything while your there thinking you may be fired, but NOT TO DO ANYTHING after you LEFT is a crime!!!

Maybe you should be standing next to your vet and BOTH OF YOU should be charged with Cruelty!!!

Chihuahua's are mean & nasty. Pound for pound the toughest dog on the planet. I hate them, my grandmother had one years ago his name was Freddie. He would hide underneath furniture and bite us as we walked by without a sound.

This vet may be a horrible person I don't know.
Did the dog deserve to be punched, of course not. I'm just a good ole boy from Georgia and bad dogs got took around behind the barn and were shot.

This may shock some of you but it's they way
things are even today. A dangerous dog has no place in this world no matter what size. I suspect there is alot more to this story that we don't know.

Base on the information in the article, I don't think he needs to go to jail. If he has a pattern of this behavior then yes he should be locked up. The article doesn't say enough to determine the fate of another human being. That's for a jury to decide.

VERY GOOD POINT,

It should have been done there and then... If it had been,
what a lot of cruelty it would have stopped in 12 months..
and that guy will continue if no one shops him in.!

This Winston person. I will not call him Dr. because he doesn't deserve the title. He is a no good son of a b. and deserves to be treated as the lowest piece of s he is. I hope they give him the maximum, revoke his license, can never be around animals, and impose the heftiest fine possible.
Why didn't the vet techs do anything? They watched him abuse the poor dog. They should also get
charged.
Hey Georgia guy, no dog deserves to be shot. You obviously don't know a damn thing about dogs or you wouldn't be showing how stupid you are.
And Cha-Cha, your an idiot! Why in the world would you wait so long to even ask if there's any you could do. I agree with The Truth- hang youself for standing by and doing nothing you piece of s!!!

So sorry..check out this site to report animal abuse..hope it helps. It's your job to report if you know for a fact there is abuse going on. Do it before the vet kills an animal..
I witnessed a man abusing a pit bull. He had it hung from a tree with a rope and was beating the little thing with a baseball bat. I called the Humane Society. They came out, arrested him and discovered this was not the first time he had done that kind of act..
