Horrible Customer Experience at Southwest Golf Cars in Sun City West

Horrible experience!! Took my EZ GO golf cart last Saturday July 10th. Cart wasn...'t running. Cody (service manager) wasn't in, but Bob (in sales) called owner and said they could fix it. During the week I talked to Cody a couple of times and was given an estimate on Thursday for over $600. I told Cody there was no way I was paying that amount for the reapirs. I told him I had been told the coil was less than $100. He came back to tell me he would charge me $490'sh. How he went froom $600 to $490 i don't know. At this point I had no choice but to say, ok. I live in Anthem and it would of been very hard for me to go pick up the cart back in susn City and not have it repaired. Today, Saturday July 16th, I went to pick it up. Bob in sales opened gate for me. I started cart and it sounded weird. Cart had no power and back fired. To make story short Bob would not let me talk to owners and never offered to call Cody. I finally asked, to call Cody I spoke to him and was told that cart was running when he supposly tested it and since I didn't want to pay more than what I had been quoted he couldn't do anything else. He said I could leave it there, but it would cost more. I told him "Are you serously a mechanic? How can you say it has been fixed when its not runnig well? He just replied "The cart is running, and wasn't running when you brought it. I can fix the rest, but it can't be free!" I checked on line the cost of a coil they changed is approximately $45 for one coil. They are charging me $142.50 per coil plus $34.00 for diagnostic, plus,$132.labor plus $24 oil change, Total bill was $514.78!!! For something that should of been maybe $250 -$300!!! Total rip off!! I am going to the AG's office the BBB, Sun City Times paper and 12 Call for Action and telling all the social media world about the horrible customer service I received. I don't mind paying for a service, but I expect to get a finished product and was denied the opporunity to talk to the owner John Mcintosh. Honestlry the worst service I have ever received. I don't expect to get service for free. I expect a business to make money, but this charge of $514.78 was outrageous for what was supposoed to be fixed (Two ignition coils and an oil change). Then to top it off my cart doesn't run well???? NO RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS BUSINESS!!!! Alex Juarez - Anthem, AZ

WOW Alex what a twist. I have used their Sun City West shop and their Youngtown shop and never had a problem. Call the Youngtown office, John mostly works out of there. So does his son Scott. Good luck.

I always just call that guy with the van who comes to my place for service. Never had any problems.

There are a lot of people who don't pay any attention to what they are told by service people then complain because of it. You want your cartfixed you have to pay. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they should do it for free. If you didn't like their quote then haul the thing somewhere else and quit whining.
