Am concerned about the freshness of produce. I have shopped every week since Winco opened & disappointed that sometimes fruit doesn't last more than 3 days. Expensive to use oranges to sweeten garbage disposal, ya know?
Is it old when it arrives?

Winco's okay. Sometimes I do my grocery shopping there--when I have to.

I go to the Winco in Temecula from time to time but sometimes I go to the Winco in Perris. I see no difference. As a shopper you have to be very picky so I look at the items very carefully before I put them in the cart. Yes, I have noticed several fruits & veggies that need to be thrown out but I've see the same decay at the Temecula Winco too.The workers have to do their jobs and if you feel they are not then complain to the manager. NO, I haven't seen any flies at either Winco--not yet that is.

Winco, Food 4 Less.......... you only get the quality level you are willing to pay for. Quantity pricing and quality goods are not often found in the same location.

As for you Cali Guy.......... have you ever even been to Perris? Or are you just a simple minded web surfer who saw an opportunity to point a finger at some thing you felt might be lower than your own sense of self worth? Nothing quite like trying to focus attention on something else to elevate you from your own personal sense of inadequacy. Or, maybe you've just driven through town on your way to your low level job as a self appointed critic of small towns you know nothing about.

The Winco in Perris & Temecula are the same. People have to take a good look at what they are buying that's all you have to do.

<quoted text> Just to clarify my opinions on Perris Ca for ya a55w1pe. being a so cal native orig from San diego no area in riverside i would put in the humble catigory. as far sub standard employment, yeah i worked in Perris for over 3 years and i hated every min of it . however tolerated the filth due to year ending just shy of 200k so when you would like to compair whit retard bring it, as far as the scum bags go, all of riverside of clustered with them , perris just so happens to be the breeding ground...
Just to set the record straight I live in Perris and I have also lived in the San Gabriel valley and Azusa is not sweet place. I was born in San Diego and lived in La Puente, Anaheim, and Temecula as well. I don't see much difference between Perris and Azusa. Caliguy if your year ending just shy of 200K means you are implying you were making that on an annual basis would you mind telling us who you worked for and in what capacity? The only thing else I will say is if you were that highly paid and can't spell any better than you do you must have been a manual laborer with limited knowledge.

Not trying to bust anyone's butt here but you need to be put in your place. Plus I think your full of crap..........

JUST FYI WHEN YOU BUY FROM FOOD 4 LESS MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT EXPERATION DATES VERY CAREFULLY! MOST STORES TEND NOT TO PULL OUT OF CODES AND TRY SELLING THROUGH BEFORE THEY CAUGHT... I KNOW I'VE BEEN THERE.

You're right. As a customer I pay attention to the expiration dates and I carefully look over the fruits & veggies before I put them in my cart but I have always done that no matter what market store I'm in.

Wow... logged on to find out more about the store in terms of quality and value, you know, to see if it's worth the gas/time to go rather than going to the grocery store closer to home and have to say I'm a bit surprised and what I've read.
I have to say Cali Guy, I've been to various places that I do not consider "up to my standards" in other words, I would never choose to live there BUT I don't put down the entire community. And I certainly don’t GO SHOPPING THERE! You don't know peoples situations and maybe, in your opinion, there is a concentrated amount of "lower class" people there but using such degrading terms doesn't make you sound any better nor is it fair to the many hard working people in that community.
Keep in mind that making a lot of money DOES NOT necessarily mean that you are better than anyone else, that you are a better quality person, have more class or are more educated than anyone anywhere - including Paris. Your manner of expression, choice of language and tact do that - not to mention the ability to SPELL CORRECTLY!
Anyone can get a lucky break and make money - that doesn't change who you are, just that now you have money and have a false sense of higher self worth because of it. That's too bad that you equate money to your personal value as a human being. What's would happen if for some reason you find yourself in a no money situation? It's happened to many before who had millions and lost it all in one day! Certainly an educated man as you had read all about the stock market crash and The Great Depression that followed.
I'm sorry, I know this is all my opinion and not worth much to anyone else. I have fallen into the trap and added to all the back and forth... I just hate to see (read about) people treating others badly.

After all of this, does anyone know where the WinCo is that is in or around the Fontana area? I have been told there is one around there just don't know the street and cross street.

look for the mexicans on the corner selling fruit. they more than likely have a pocket full for 1/2 face value.

I really don't know where you can get food stamps. I've never had to get any. Maybe try--asking the Menifee Cupboard in Sun City. Good luck! Below is a link to my webpage. I posted an article about the Montauk Beast.

Going to Sun city or Menifee wont help. you still have to go to the county of Riverside..AKA Public Assistance..
