An 18 month old toddler starved to death, promting authorities to take custody of his siblings, including his twin sister.

There is no excuse for this. Those people could have had help from so many sources, including the children's grandparents. Instead, they lived like pigs (sorry about the insult to actual pigs), and allowed their babies to die of neglect.

I wonder how much she spent on that ugly red weave? That money surely could have bought baby formula.

Animals...disgusting, worthless animals. Throw them BACK into that house, board it up, and let them starve just like that poor baby. They obviously are used to the conditions, and they can gnaw on the dead rat if they get hungry...for a while anyway. Let them starve, then burn the house down.

I do hope they found a good home for the poor dog they rescued as well. Those children and that poor pup deserve happy lives, which hopefully they can now have.

I don't even want to here them say that the baby wouldn't eat or was sick. That should have been the time to take it to a doctor or the hospital. These two are disgusting and deserve everything they get. I bet by looking at them they never missed a meal.

Dorchester County Department of Social Services "DSS" placed 2 kids (Infant girl will be 2 yrs old in April & her brother is 4 yrs old.) in a Registered Sex Offender home and left them there, even after they learned of it! On February 17, 2009, Dorchester County Department of Social Services in Summerville, South Carolina took infant girl(will be 2 in April) and her 4 year old brother from their drug afflicted mother and placed them into the home of their grandmother and step-father, who at age 42, was convicted of CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH MINORS and is now on the South Carolina Registered Sex Offender Registry. After contacting DSS in Summerville, several mainstream media sources and others, I contacted the Dorchester County Sheriff's office about the matter, I learned that once a Registered Sex Offender has completed their Prison/Parole/Probation time and only has to keep their information current with the County/Sheriff/State Registered Sex Offender Registry, there is nothing in South Carolina Code of Laws that prevents DSS from placing any child into the home of a Registered Sex Offender! As of February 25, 2009, Dorchester County DSS had left the children in the home of the Registered Sex Offender and was defending their actions. Once I contacted the Governor's Office on Friday the 27th of 2009, it seems that there is a commotion being made in Summerville, SC Dorchester County DSS office. A couple of birdies through the grape vine has informed me that DSS is waiting for this to blow over. Please help me to keep this from "Blowing Over" by contacting your local and state representative, demanding that a bill be introduced immediately and passed into law that clearly prevents DSS from placing ANY CHILD into ANY home of ANY REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER! This is a factual story. The registered sex offender home that I am talking about is James E. Wright and I can prove it! He is the step father of my son in-law! Pickens (AP)-- A 35-year-old woman whose two toddlers drowned in a swimming pool has been charged with neglect and involuntary manslaughter.

Pickens County Assistant Sheriff Tim Morgan said Tuesday that Sandy Emery was charged with two counts of unlawful neglect of a child and two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Morgan said 3-year-old Carter Landon Emery and 2-year-old Lacey Alley Emery were found by police in their backyard pool near Easley in September. Morgan said police believe the children were left unattended while the mother was asleep.

Morgan said Emery was brought to Pickens County to be charged and was to return to the Greenville County Detention Center, where she has been held on unrelated drug charges. He said it was not clear whether she had a lawyer.

So my point is... was the story you posted (about blacks) any worse than the one I posted (about a white)?.

Diagnosed with "environmental autism," Dani, now 10, is slowly managing to do things on her own. But the Lierows still struggle with her violent fits and don't know how much of her developmental capability has been damaged forever.
Danielle's birth mother, Michelle Crockett, was charged with child abuse and faced 20 years in prison. Still, she refused to give up custody of her daughter. Race has nothing to do with this issue. The children in all of the stories posted on this thread are children who were either treated horribly or killed. Race is a non-issue as far as I am concerned.
Someone asked which story is worse???? Depends on how you look at it I guess. From a medical point of view, I would have to say the pain and suffering of being starved to death is worse than the suffering of death by drowning.
