What was a 17 yr old female doing out at 12:45 AM? Is that not an unreasonable hour for a female to be out especially on Pinewood Road? That is a long road (Hwy 261) that goes through the National Forest, by the bombing field for Shaw and is sort of desolate in some of the area. Was she alone or with other bodies?

Does it really matter at this point? The little girl is dead!! I do agree with you about the location, but that really is not the issue!

Maybe she had just gotten off work and was on her way home.
Condolences to the family.

Caci was in my class, and she sat right next to me. I believe she was out that late at night because she was on a FFA field trip to her first Clemson game. We ate lunch together everyday and she was one of the liveliest people I've ever met. You couldn't help but love her and her ever-present smile. Our entire class is mourning for her because we have truly lost an important and dear friend. To the Teacher Cadet Class of Lakewood High School: We will be strong for her and we will make it through this tough time together, because it was what she would have wanted for us. We love her, miss her, and things will never be the same in that classroom without her constant jokes and laughter. I love you Caci and I know you're in heaven watching over us now.

Does anybody know who was at fault? It doesn't really matter at this point. It's just so sad, she hasn't even begun to live her life. One of my friends found her before the cops got there. My prayers are with her family. I lost my mother a couple of months ago and it's really tough. You never get over it and it doesn't get any easier!! So to those of you who are friends, make sure you let her family know, she will never be forgotten! That will mean alot to them!

Yes is was a female and yes she went to Lakewood High School. She hit a deer and called her parents, she told them she had hit a der but she was ok could they come to here. So on the way to help/get their daughter a drunk driver hit her and it killed her. Sp lets all keep them in our prayers.

Thoughts and prayers to both families.

Those are two different vehicle sizes and impact points could play a huge roll.

It is still best to wear your seatbelt.

Actually Caci was with a bunch of her friends including me at the bowling alley last night. We went on a field trip earlier that day like Chrystal said and decided we wanted to go bowling together. so we did. right after we left Cosmic Bowling (which happens after 10 for those who think 12:45 is too late), she was headed home. we hadnt been partying or doing anything we shouldnt have been. On her way home she hit the deer. Then someone hit her. I was in FFA with Caci and the Lakewood teacher cadet class with her. Caci was one of a kind and you always laughed when you were with her. She was such a sweet person and dispite her sharing all of her opinions, she was a great friend. i love and will always miss her.
