I have always felt that the streets that boarder Lenape ( springfield road that goes into Kenilworth and that street that the college is on) are so poorly marked with warning signs it's outrageous. Markers should be large signes with yellow flashing lights "Deer Crossing" as they use out here in California in the mountain areas....
I have property in Kenilworth and have seen many injured and dead deer at the park...I don't know what your "plan" is but I would seriously look into the breeding angle....to control the birth rate with feed that has birth control in it...or relocation to western Jersey...but to go in and have any kind of mass killing is just primitive and putting a band aid on the situation...I have many pictures and films of the babies and families in there and enjoyed watching them while jogging.
So figure out something long term that helps everyone including the deer. thank you

They elimated the Lenape Skeet Shooting range in 2003, now they plan a deerhunt. Will they be using crossbows arrows instead of buckshot since it has been banned by the EPA? Politics rears its ugly head once again.

I think it is primitive to kill the deer and just plain ignorant ..... we are pushing the animals out of their own natural habitates - you all in NJ have not been good stuards in taking care of living creatures ...I know the deer are out of control, however, their are other ways of keeping the population down than killing so majestic animals. Maybe ust some day NJ will step up to the plate and join the rest of us who are educating ourselves on environmental issues and taking steps to protect and care for them.. WE HAVE TAKEN THEIR HOME IT IS NOW OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GIVE THEM ONE....
