I think it is great that the community came together and gathered donations for New Jersey.

However, what about helping our own in this area? Sadly there are a lot of people right here that cannot help themselves, but some really do need help. There have been many examples recently where help could have been used right here in our own back yard.

It just seems that right along with our government everyone wants to give and help well beyond our own area. Why is that? I would have supported all this had they maybe organized a clothing or food drive for the less fortunate in Carbon County.

But at least they got to meet Bon Jovi so guess they got in the spot light and accomplished that.

Instead of talking about it, I will be about it and organize something for those in need here. I wonder if KME and the community will offer such an outpouring of support? I doubt it cause it won't put anyone on the map of fame

I think your wrong. The people that did this are not there for the publicity. I was there abd saw those guys load the trucks, it was not easy and I commend all of them.

Ted, You are an uninformed idiot. Nothing was done for publicity and noone ever expected to see Bon Jovi that just happened. And right some people around here can't help themselves, can't get off thier ass an even try to look for a job. So we should help them??? You are a retard. Go help people around here, go to work they will take it out of your check every week dumbass!!!! WELFARE...
As for Kovatch and the KME family, they are always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Not only that they follow up with service after a sale, like they did. And George, the news people cover all kinds of terrible things, don't you think it's nice to see something good on the news instead of killings and other political nonsense. Get a life. This whole thing started because of a freindship between two people. it wasn't supposed to get as big as it did, it just did. I wonder if you took the time out of your busy day bashing people on the internet for doing something good in your community or do you hate yourself as well for being an asshole. Go join a fire department and help out at all functions and get doors slammed in your face when you are trying to sell a ticket, then come talk to me about doing something for publicity. You people have no fucking clue..

Ted, I say this with the utmost respect. You Don't Think! America is constantly getting criticized because they help other countries, now someone in America decides to help THEIR OWN, and what do you do? You criticize them for doing it. Excuse me if you think it was wrong of them, or they had the wrong intentions. But obviously you'll just sit and read the newspaper and take it for what it's worth. You really don't know what happened in that weeks time do you? For your information, Bruce Springsteen was there the day before, Bon Jovi just happened to show up that day. It wasn't planned. Apparently they're both from the area, and have been and will continue to check in on the volunteers. And from what I'm hearing, those people from Carbon County were there for practically a whole day, unloading boxes. Bon Jovi gave them the boost they needed emotionally and physically to keep on going. You should be ashamed of yourself for even condemning any of those efforts. Please make sure you share with everyone that benefit for the people in this area. We'll gladly help out. But if you're going to open your mouth, you better stick to it and get something going ok?? I'm sure Sea Bright will be up and running before that time comes!!!!
