Review: Lowcountry Music Academy LLC

This business I found not to be organized or professional at all. I signed my daughter up for violin lessons in April and paid in full for the remaining three weeks of the month. Two days before her 1st lesson the CoOwner called and said that the instructor had to reschedule because he had a job interview that he could not afford to miss. So not a problem; we skipped that week. The following week my daugher went to her first lesson. I must say she loved the instructor. Upon completion of that lesson we were asked if we could change the day of our lessons from Wed to Mon or Sat. I advised the CoOwner that we could probably do it on mondays but I had to check my schedule. So we agreed to meet on Mondays I believe this was that Friday. On Sunday afternoon the CoOwner called me and said that the instructor had accepted a job offer and could no longer teach. She advised me that she was looking for a new instructor. I heard nothing from her for over two weeks so I called and she advised me that she had hired a new instructor that would be starting in two weeks (May 30th). I told her that my daughter was going to California for the month of June and that we would reschedule when she got back and asked her if she could just mail me my money back. I also asked her at that time if I would be charged for that one lesson since it was basically a wasted lesson. (A seven year old is not going to remember what she learned in one lesson two months later). The CoOwner said yeah I will send you a refund. So a week later I get a check in the mail. I was the amount of one lesson. I called and she started to tell me crazy stuff like I paid twice in the month of April $32 each time. I advised her of my reciept number and that I paid $96. I advised her I should be getting $64 back. She told me I had to pay for the one lesson that she had rescheduled on me (my daugher would have at least recieved 2 lessons had they not rescheduled). I just feel that they/she is disorganized and not up front with the clients. I could understand if my daughter had been going there for a month or so but with all the rearranging she did throught the month of April with me and then the instructor quiting she could have given me a full refund. I advised her that I will take the balance of my refund and that they lost a customer over $32.
