Murfreesboro Police pulled a man over for not wearing his seat belt, and during the traffic stop the officer found a gun that police think may be a murder weapon.

I think I'm going to puke. They eat donuts and harass people mostly. They sit on their asses and maybe once a year they actually run into something with a little danger involved.

That is not true who cares... I know that when I was drinking and full of anger when they pulled me over there was a fight or if I had the police called on me I was a mess. They do put themselves in harms way every day..... You never know when approach someone what their true state of mind is.

I know first hand what their job consists of and a dangerous situation is very rare. They make very good money for what they do. You've been watching too many cop shows on TV.

I totally agree with you, depending on the area they work. Cops in rural areas don't see a lot of "action", but come work East Nashville for a day and you'll see it. This just makes rural jobs more dangerous because danger isn't expected like it is in the high crime areas of the inner city.
The pay? That's arguable, but cops deal with more garbage from both inside the department and from the general public than any other profession.
