I Have been on it for over a year now but unlike some people with insurance i i dont have any or a medical card so i have been paying over a 1000 a month to stay drug free.......I think its because these drug companies and dr know how much drugs are on the street and they think well if they pay that why cant you pay that for treatment.Well my answer to that is most addicts lie and steal to get their next high....does that mean we should lie and steal to get treatment?I guess i just dont get it.If you have been through this please leave me your comments or even if you know someones story...please no judgements im distraught bad enough over this cause im really trying hard to stay clean and have been for the last year thanks..........

Quick question, why would you need a drug to get you off of drugs? I've never understood that. Isn't that still a drug that gets you high but it's legal. Why not get off of that too and you wouldn't have to pay 1,000.00 a month for it and go check into some rehab and quit everything cold turkey like back in the old days before pharmaceutical company figured out they could make more money. Thats's just like the methodone clinic ppl go there saying they want to get off of drugs but they take drugs and get their fix but it's legal. So parden me if i'm wrong but isn't that still a druggie just gettin' your fix for free from the tax payers? I know there is a couple who the husband worked in the coal mines got fired b/c he couldn't pass a drug test and now he's back in the mines while going to the clinic, but that's legal. I don't agree with it or understand it.
sorry

I think if you are getting off of drugs by using this stuff, keep right on doing it. My prayer is that all these people that are hooked on drugs can get off of the stuff. Don't stop trying because some of us donot understand it, if it works for you i'm all for it. Good luck and God Bless.

Thank you, alot of people dont understand because they have never been through what i have and thousands of other people have,i am just having a hard time right now with bills and life period because of having to pay so much money for this treatment and my medicine, and to answer the first comment suboxone DOES NOT get you high it takes away the cravings and clears my head so i dont even think about drugs now....and tax payers arent paying for my treatment,im broke all the time now just because i want to stay clean and be a productive member of society and dont wanna be a dopehead anymore. Its nice to see that some people have hope for people to get off drugs just like i did..thanks for the encouragme

It really depends on the person, they are weening me down very slow i guess some people might have to be on it for the rest of their life but i dont wanna be i am already tired of being chemically addicted thats what i call it anyway i just wish i would have never taken the first pill and never had to go through all this bs......its is like swapping one drug for the other but i just cant go through withdraw it is too hard so this medicine is just stopping me from withdraws also and when i finally get off of it i will be all better.....and ill never touch drugs again as long as i live its not worth it

I have been on Suboxone for a little over a year.I have tapered off to about half of what I started on.The price alone of this stuff is a crime and needs to be investigated. The cheapest I have found this medication is a little over 6 dollars for an 8 mg.pill and keeps going up and up.There is a company in Columbus Oh.that has been making generic Subutex since Oct 2009 but it is not Suboxone because it doesn't have naloxone in it,an additive so you can't shoot up.I just want to be clean but I don't know what my doctor would say if I asked for it.I also read the generic price is going up also.I guess you don't need to rob a bank to be a criminal, there are plenty of them walking around with white lab coats on.Jim Akron,Ohio

See the sluggish and the.urges is what i could never get over ive tried quitting like that and ive never been able to do it that way....the suboxone has totally made the cravings stop and gives you alittle energy to make you feel normal so i cant really answer that i never got over it but im hopeing when im completely off the suboxone i will feel normal again so good luck to you dont know you but im proud of you to anyone who can go 3 weeks and be clean really is strong its not easy and you should be proud of your self...i also have found that praying and putting your weakness in gods hands and trusting in him to heal you works it did for me without god i could have never done it so god bless you........

I was on the subutex and really its not very much cheaper and you are right it is a crime for it to be so expensive and sad too........really we should be able to buy it over the counter but its all about the money they dont really care if we stay clean..........

That is insane to have to pay that much. More ppl would probably get clean if it weren't for things like that. no judgements here. How does the suboxen work? Does it really help with the withdrawls?
