Here is a similar story. They are their own worst enemy. Showing their true colors on an anonymous site. Their character profiles are right here on topix ready to be used as evidence against them. Is it going to take an investigation from the justice department or a long drawn out nasty lawsuit before justice is served?

SPD should be required to wear cameras on their person so that every public interaction can be recorded. If they are following department policy in the performance of their duty they should not object to this. If they are trying to hide evidence that can be used gainst them, they will object. A pattern of documented complaints must be brought against this minority of outlaws who make the jobs of cowboys that are doing right impossible so that they can be dealt with accordingly.

Getting rid of Officer Pat Whitney and his psychological disorder would be a good place to start fixing their liability problems. It will all come out in the wash when his or their Topix posts are used against him or them to prove his or their characters during civil or criminal proceedings. Should have quit when they were ahead.

Who believes the police have resorted to harassing and provoking people on topix in hopes of persuading them into taking violent action so they can do this to them? There is a fine line between being a cowbay and an outlaw. Good luck trying to claim self-defense after your harassment and provokation officers. They should only use those persuasion skills that they were taught in the acadamy to do good. What they are doing is criminal. The justice department would have a field day with this.

This is one of many reasons why every police interaction with the public should be recored.

I suspect whoever this is will be seeing officer Whitney in a courtroom very soon. Not a good idea to harass a police officer and yes this is harassment.

That is what you get for suspecting. Good thing you are not an attorney. You would be one that gives false hope to their clients just to take their money. I would suspect that officer Whitney a publi cofficial who is a danger to the public and liability to summersville is full of hot pneumatic tool fuel. It would probably behoove him to prepare for a visit from the justice department. And also aware of counter civil action that could be taken against him should he waste his time and money that he doesn't have. Shouldn't have left all of these posts evidnece on topix I am sure. He has the right to remain silent but his psychological disorder hinders his ability.

Here is my take for all it is worth. Mr. Whitney is afraid of the truth and that is why he is continuing to harass the public with threats of civil action. I do believe the criminal acts that he has perpetrated will catch up with him after an investigation and justice will be served.

Talk is cheap. You should have stopped your harassment and provocation while you were ahead outlaw. I believe those that are aware of what you are doing and enabling you will be held accountable also.

I think this person has a valid concern. I have been keeping up with these threads and I believe you will find the disgruntled moron when you look into the mirror.

The majority of police officers do a good job. There is always one bad apple who makes the rest of them look bad.

I beleive they are. pay attention to the words they type and what they say on here. You can tell when it is the dirty ones because they are usually trying to tell someone what to do or trying to control them. If someones post is authoritarian, suspicious, insecure, cynical, hostile, individualistic, prejudiced, or dogmatic there is a good chance that it is a police officer behind the keyboard. There is no wonder why the divorce and suicide rates for the police are so high.

Although this message is true, Mayor Robert Shafer, the Councilmen, and Chief John Nowak do not approve of this message or Topix. But only because they can't manipulate and censor it. I bet they would praise it as much as they do the Nicholas Chronicle if they could.

I'm not normally on to judge but you are the one that sounds like an ill-humoured freak youngster. I sure hope you aren't a police officer. All police officers should be required to wear point-of-view video systems that improve transparency between law enforcement agencies and their communities, while protecting the officers from false claims. These systems improve behavior of all parties during police interactions, reduce false complaints and lawsuits by accurately capturing video from the officers perspective, pre-event video buffer yields the greatest reduction in complaints and lawsuits when actions leading up to the incident are recorded, low light recording accurately captures what the human eye truly sees, enhances public trust and creates safer communities. This is the most unbiased form of evidence collecting and protection every citizen and officer deserves. Now ask yourself this question, "Why wouldn't a police department want to get these?"
