If a police officer on the Summersville Police Department were found to have the PTSD mental disorder should he be terminated immediately due to the danger he poses to the public? Murders being committed by those with PTSD are becoming all too commonplace these days. What is it going to take for someone to stop worrying about how it would make the City of Summersville look and start worrying about the safety of the citizens of Summersville? The murder of an innocent citizen during a PTSD rage?

Wow. That was quick. You monitoring and trying to "control" Topix 24/7 now while you are bored on duty? Here is news for you, you aren't controlling anything. You have lost control. That's why you get a check for PTSD. Hello. My name is Patrick W. and I have PTSD.

Robert Shafer "politician", his "controlled" council, and his trusty "political protector" John Nowak do not approve this message.

Or just maybe, good ole Robert Shafer and John Nowak conducted an ineffective interview and someone slid throught the cracks. That or they were desperate and thought that they could keep this danger to the public hidden. Either way, their concern for public safety is evident. And so is the concern shown by the good ole spineless council that Robert Shafer controls with his silver forked tongue. Don't fool yourself into beleiving that they dont see these concerns on Topix either. They view this website just as much as the police or anyone else does.

Notice this allegedly random persons futile attempt at deception. Try to divert attention from yourself much. Way to accept responsibility for your actions. Very honorable indeed.

Can we get back to the original topic of this post? If a police officer on the Summersville Police Department were found to have the PTSD mental disorder should he be terminated immediately due to the danger he poses to the public should he lose control and go into a PTSD rage with one of your children? This is a very serious matter folks.

Hey, Leave the italians out of this nutcase. They are way more organized than you could ever dream of being. This post started as a simple question. sounds like someone has a guilty concience and feels that they need to overcome some indifference, no?

<quoted text>Or else, one of these "hussies" that throw themselves at police officers who do not take them up on their offers! LOL! You always have people that aren't satisfied unless they are creating havoc for someone. Officer Whitney is a very good officer and someone is just being their troublemaking selves by bringing this onto the gossip site.
I couldn't help but laugh at this post. I bet tons of women are just throwing themselves at ignorrant egotistical police officers like yourself. The only women that want you are the ones that know that they can control you and get what they want because of your insecurity.

For some reason you seem to have a problem with Pat. Did he arrest you? Treat you like the dumbass you truely are? Did your woman leave to be his badge bunny? What is your major malfunction with this officer? My suggestion would be find a therapist for your issues. Then, grow a pair and talk to this officier face to face!

Well, it is apparent that whoever you are is authoritarian, hostile, dogmatic, and insecure. Yep, i would say that you are a police officer whoever you may be. Don't you have some bad guys to go catch or something? You are aware that you aren't paid to patrol, instigate, and harass citizens on Topix, right? If this is your idea of protecting and serving your community and its citizens you are in a worse mental state than anyone could have ever imagined. One thing is for certain, the hostile behavior that your displaying on here is a mirror image of that of someone with a mental disorder such as PTSD.

As a public official you are held to a higher standard. You're behavior is expected to be more professional and honorable. Well, at leat everyone knows who they are realy dealing with now even when you are standing in front of them putting on ayers. I bet the whole double life thing gets stressful doesn't it? Maybe that is the cause of the whole sky high police divorce suicide rate problem. You would think that all of those women that are standing in line to throw themselves on you would reduce some of that stress lol, right. I could see where an internal struggle could ensue from being forced to be fake and judgemental all the time. It must be a miserable existence.

You people are seriously in the dark about this. As a Veteran and a person who was diagnosed with PTSD I find it seriously disturbing you all are acting this way. This individual doesn't need to loose his job and have everyone turn their back on him. He needs support and help. Think if this was you in his situation

Do some people not realize that police officers can have PTSD due to what they have seen in the line of duty? That is why they are evaluated every so often. You don't have to go to war to have PTSD and just because a person may have it does not necessarily mean that they can not function normally.

Tell that to all of families who have had their childern killed by people with PTSD. You can start with the recent kiling of hero and Navy Seal Chris Kyle and his friend by a veteran with PTSD. It's a mental disorder and they shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun. They go into rages. Do you even know the symtoms of PTSD? What is more important? Public safetey or someone mentally injured losing their job? No one wants anyone to lose their job but lets face it, the publics safety must come first.

Not all people that have PTSD fly into rages. Yes PTSD is a mental problem but with therapy and or medication it can be worked through. I won't deny that some people who have had PTSD have killed. There are many more with the disease that haven't killed. I think it is a subject that we as a nation need to educate ourselves on so that people can know the facts from the stereotypes.

Apparently you cannot read. I have PTSD. That's what happens when you go through a traumatic event. Like watching your best friend bleed out and die in your arms or experience a rape or sexual assault. I've never had an outburst. I see counseling. People did not turn their back on me. I was given the help I needed. All you small minded people need to realize more people have this than you think.
