<quoted text>Sir, I do not think that it is your responsibilty. I am just trying to think of ways that people can work together instead of against each other. I am sorry if my post offended you, I just thought that if you really cared about the young people in your area that maybe you could help instead of hurt. Again I apologize if I offended you.

Why does it matter ?
His name is Jimmie Hoffa. Or Robert Pollson, or maybe Tom or Gregg. Like he said it really doesn't matter his views are completely opposite of mine but, that's what's makes this country so great. We have the right to our own opinion. The way I deal with his posts is by posting under 10 or 12 other names and let him guess who I am instead of all of us trying to figure out who he is. Because I really do know who he is but will not tell cause we made a deal. He may be a republican that loves Alpha and just stirs up the pot a little to get plenty of opinions. Or maybe he's an ex UMWA organizer or maybe a retired policeman or state mine inspector. Actually he is one of the names or jobs I just mentioned just FYI.

Electricians in the mine do very little pure electrical work -- do mainly mechanic & general repair work, tape wrappers - nut busters. WV underground electrical certification is not valid for non-mining. Electrical certification for civilian, business & residential work comes thru State Fire Marshal office.
Well I don't know where you get your information because my dad is the main electrician at his mines and does quite a bit of work there. That is why he had over 60 hours of over time and why he was on of the only ones there working during one week. Also, his certifications does work for non-mining work because that is what he did before he went to the mines. He has added several certifications ontop of what he already had. Therefore you need to do a little bit more research on that one.

electricians in the mines are like glorified back yard mechanics, they splice cables and black tape them, change out motors and do basic grunt mechanic work, yes can be very hard work,BUT ELECTRICIANS THEY ARE NOT.they nothing about real electrical work, just basic mechanics, ask your daddy,he may qualify for a maintenance position somewhere, but not an ELECTRICIAN

I can't speak for everybody but I am liscenced master electrician above ground and a certified underground electrician also. I have an electrical engineering degree from WV Tech. And when I go underground it is a major electrical problem that section electricians have usual been working on for hours or days. And I always fix the problem. I not only have worked underground but I've also been a supertindent at the Pentagon and 6 other Department of Defence jobs. So mr sell that new truck I will put my new truck against whatever you have that I can blow your doors off in anything from fiber optics to 765 kv high voltage. Let me know when I can arrange the where I have 3 friends that are electrical contractors.

I know remember. Your secrets safe with me. I actually make 8 to 10 dollars more an hour working above ground but, its usually out of state and I am a family man. State scale for Nicholas County is 44.27 an hour right now and its that high thanks to the IBEW. Not many underground electrician make over 36 and yes I have seen some lazy ones. But I have seen many more above ground than below. I knew a guy at John Amos power plant that would let his foreman see him in the morning in a safety meeting then he would sleep till quiting time everyday. He did that 7 days a week 12 hours a day and brought home almost 2 grand for the week sleeping. And I thought Bug had it made.

Dude, you all are acting like I have no clue on what I am talking about. Let me tell you this, my father has been a certified electrician for about 40 years now. He has done more electrical work in the mines and outside of the mines than most of you on here since he is probably older than most of you. No, he don't just cut and splice and black tape the SHI*. If anyone has, then your company needs to fire them. Its not even worth this gals time to go into all of this crap with yall. It is what it is and I couldn't give a rats A** any more. I know my dad does a great job with what he does and for the company he works for. Thats why he does what he does there. So I am FINISHED with this post. You all are just men talking trash like this to me more than likely because I am a LADY and not a so called MAN!!!!!!!!!!
