The recent shootings have really made me question my faith. How could God just let this happen.

everything happens for a reason don't loose your faith , we can't even begin to understand Gods plan, things like this are hard but remember the greatest trick that the devil has is to make us be leave he does not exist keep your faith and remember faith in God is the only hope we as a people have. God bless

I believe that God shed many tears over all of these mass murders. His battle against Satan continues. I do not believe that God had anything to do with these shootings. I do believe that he is our only path for healing these wounds.

If anything this helps with my faith in a way. The person who did this was evil, the devil at work for sure. Nothing but a demon straight out of the pits of hell could ever do what he did.

It wasnt the damn devil you nut job. It was a young kid who had some serious mental issues that he didnt get help with in time. Nothing more, nothing less.
With your words, you make it sound like mentally ill people who do wrong things are the devil in disguise. How ridiculous.

What has Citizen done to you to make you so angry? The young man obviously had some problems with mental illness; however, that does not justify his actions. He knew right from wrong and despite attending church faithfully he chose to hurt innocent children. If that isn't the work of the devil, I can't imagine how else to describe this. He had a form of Autistic Spectrum Disorder labeled Asperger's Syndrome. This disorder is not associated with violence. Very few autistic children are violent. What he decided to do can only be described as evil. Firing 11 shots into a tiny 6 year old body is ruthless; the act of a sociopath.

Exactly, and a sociopath is another form of mental illness, not the devil.

Maybe that is why he was a sociopath, he was possessed by a demon? To someone who doesnt believe in God that may sound crazy, but for those of us that do not so much. If there is a God there is also a devil and evil.Believe what you will. God bless you.

This young person was just another human being on this planet. Plain and simple.

It doesnt take God to know that this was a human being. Not the devil.

There isnt anything obvious about me to you. You know nothing about me and dont be so quick to judge me as GODLESS. You dont possess those rights or knowlege. You really need to re-check your own relationship with God. The young man who committed this tragedy was a human being. Not the devil.

You dont have a clue if he knew right from wrong unless you have personally evaluated him and are qualified to do so.

And NO ONE knows at this point in time if there was something else wrong with him that was never diagnosed prior to this happening. You people really ought to just end all of your speculations about this young person that you have absolutely NO CLUE at all about any details of his life and his mental state of health. Just pray for the young lives lost and their families and move on.

Tell me exactly how you know that there wasnt something else wrong with him that had never been diagnosed? Dont be so silly to let the news media make you think that what has been reported is all there is to this young man's story. Arent you christians supposed to refrain from judging others when you know nothing about them or me?

The original poster was having trouble understanding how to keep her faith with God after this massacre. That is a sentiment that most Christians struggle with. I continue to believe that there is evil in the world that followers of Christ must come to terms with. We need to keep our faith strong, Only God knows the truth.

When a person questions their faith in God, they have little faith. Sound's rather harsh and judgmental, but it's written in God's Word. Satan places himself above us continuously attempting to run us Christians astray, by means of temptation and trickery. I suggest reading the the Holy Bible and/or listen to FBN, it's a local affiliate of a radio network out if North Carolina on 90.5FM. If you are questioning your faith, pray pray pray! The only answer is through JESUS!

Watch this. Turn off the news. They only tell half truths. God does not control free will. The devil doesn't control anyone either. Mental health is such a joke anymore. In a hospital it is treated on a med/surg floor. Guarantee every one of the survivors is being offered anti-depressants by their Dr.'s. This isn't about religion in schools. People have turned on each other. Example look at the crap on this website. Attacking others has become our way of life. Turn our backs on those in need until tragedy occurs then we ask WHY? Just because you go to church on Sundays does not make you a christian. I do not go to church but I follow God. Do not think the devil made him do it. Our society made him do it. I buried one of my children and learned to quit asking God Why? I do not know his plan and no longer second guess it. God is there in the aftermath. We will cry and pray and move on within a couple weeks. Go back to being hypocrites while the survivors mourn for years until... the next disaster. The first school shooting didn't wake us up and neither will this one. We have to change permanently not just for a couple weeks during the aftermath. Love thy neighbor whether they are crazy, poor, druggies, thief's, etc... Also we do not need gun control we need self control.
