Copied from the Summerville Beacon:

Thad Wheeler, Summers-ville, has announced that he is running as a candidate for the office of State Representative in Missouri’s 152nd District. Wheeler stated, "I have filed as a member of the Constitution Party because we have seen both the Democrat and Republican parties fail to stop abortion."

The Democratic platform states "Abortion should be safe, legal and rare."

The Republican party platform states, "We oppose abortion, but our pro-life agenda does not include punitive action against women who have an abortion."

The Constitution party, states"Abortion should always be illegal".

Both parties have increased gun control.

Democratic party platform, "We will protect American’s Second Amendment right to own firearms ... reauthorizing the assault weapons ban and closing the gun show loophole."

Republican party, "... own firearms in their homes for self defense."

Constitution party, "... the right to bear arms is inherent in the right of self defense, defense of the family, and defense against tyranny ... conferred on the individual ... by our Creator ..."

If elected, Wheeler promises "to work to repeal Missouri’s income tax and decrease the size and scope of government. I encourage you to vote your conscience." Wheeler may be contacted at RR1 Box 1165, Summersville, MO 65571 or www.thadwheeler.com

This town is not Scummersville... Everyone's experiences here have been different... I agree their are alot of self righteous, critical, condeming, judgemental people in the town.. And no matter how hard you try to make a difference in your community, their are people regardless, that will continue to be condeming, and spread rumors, some true most lies. But you just have to know who you are in your heart, and realize you have no control over what people say... But on the other hand, in the 5 years I have been here, I have met and developed friendships with some of the best people I have ever ment...Emmett Bradford, Waneta Cooper, Kerry & Sheila Grogan, Ladonna Hartmann, Nedria Plowman, Freida Wilkins,, I could go onnnnnn and onnnn, and those are the unselfish people that work very hard voluntarily, to help people in need.. So in every town every city their are great people as well as people that just want to stay in their critical state of living, and it really is their loss.. I love this lil town, and just can't imagine why someone would want to refet to it as scummersville.. But we all have the right to our opinions.. God Bless

Look at his website. He is supposed to be the person in charge of law & order in the town of Summersville, yet he states on his website that he will not ticket people for NOT WEARING their seatbelts or NOT WEARING a motorcycle helmet. So he must feel that he is above State Laws if he does this.

If you go to his website, www.thadwheeler.com it has different letters he has wrote to the editor. He is all about people having their right, he never wants any thing to do with check points b/c it violates the constitution. He thinks you should at least have a search warrant to search a vehilce. If he stops you and asks to search your vehilce, he wants you to tell him no. He has to ask and if you refuse that is fine. He is a great Christian guy. If you want to know how he believes, just ask. Don't just assume things and be judgmental. Everyone forms their own opinions and don't talk to him and find out what is really there. I think he would make a great State Representative and would stand for the peoples rights. Vote for Thad Wheeler, constituion party.

Regardless of his views on "personal choice", when he became a law enforcement officer, he took an oath to uphold the laws of the state. It doesn't matter if he agrees with them or not, it is his job to enforce them. And until he becomes an elected official with the power to change them, he needs to do his job and enforce the laws as they are written.

All citizens are expected to obey ALL laws, and when we don't we are in trouble... Now here is a law enforcement officer who chooses which one's he will obey and eforce... UNREAL !!!! I sure wish there would of been a DWI checkpoint set up the night my sister was killed by a drunk driver !! I lost my best friend, My parents lost their daughter, her husband lost his wife, her 3 children ages 8, 9 , & 10 lost their mother, now her 5 grandchildren don't have her... Thank God for the law enforcement officers that enforce the law that they are required to obey... PEOPLE PLEASE DON'T VOTE FOR THIS MAN... HE IS A RADICAL RELIGIOUS NUT !! A DICTATOR !! HE IS ON A POWER TRIP... I believe in God, and pray for those who don't... But having a relationship with him, has nothing to do with religion... Religion is where man has taken God's word and applied his will to it... Saddam Hussein had people killed for his 'religion'...

If you have a chance and live in or near Summersville, take a look a Officer Wheeler's personal car. There is a bumper sticker on it stating "I ride with Forrest". Google the saying and you will see it refers to Nathan Bedford Forrest. Here is what one encylopedia states about Forrest: "He is remembered both as a self made and innovative cavalry leader during the war and as a figure in the postwar establishment of the first Ku Klux Klan organization opposing the military occupation and rule in the South." So Officer Wheeler rides with a founder of the Ku Klux Klan..........

You are exactly right!!!!!!! When he did live in town, he had a rebel flag that flew from his house... If you ever see him out of his vehicle check out his pistol in his holster, the hammer is pulled back at all times, he is ready to fire... This is Summersville for goodness sake, not Chicago... He shot and killed a local families dog that had gotten out of its pen and was on the square where children were playing, the first time he shot it, the dog took off to his home, got back into his pen and Thad shoots him again while in the pen!!! This time it killed him, he hauled the dog off, when the owners came home and found out what happened , they just wanted their dog to bury him themselves, and were refused that right... He tazered a young man in that community that was running away from him, then fired 3 shots at him, he didn't have a warrant for his arrest, he had committed no crime, all Thad was going by is what someone accused him of... This family has had to pay over $20,000.00 in attorney fees and it is still not settled and happened nearly 2 years ago. In any other city, when an officer discharges a fire arm, typically he is put on temporarily leave of absence until an investigation to the incident can be concluded. NOT THAD... Anyone who is reading this that will be affected by this mans power either as a dirty cop, or a state rep. Better check him out, it could be your family pet he kills, or your son he tazes and shoots at. He may not miss the next time...

How do you know he is a religious nut?? Have you ever talked to him about his views?? I don't think you should judge a book by its cover, read it first and then place your judgement on it!!

First of all the guy that he tazered ran from him and Thad didn't even get him. He missed and he never one time fired a gun at him. And the guy wouldn't have even been in trouble if he wasn't awol. When Thad receives a warrant on someone, he has to serve them. So, he even called Ft Wood to check on this and they told him to arrest him and they would be on their way to pick him up. I think you are wrong on all of this and need to find out the whole story before you start judging!!!

If you would have read further down about Nathan Forrest it states that he worked to disband the KKK b/c they had bceome unpatriotic and violent.

No I am not wrong on all of this Heather, I do have the facts on all this, And yes THAD did hit the young man with his tazer, I seen pictures of it, and yes he did fire shots at this young man their are 4 people who witnessed it. The truth has and will continue coming out... Since you appear to know THAD so well, then tell me why he picks and chooses which laws he will abide by? Such as refusing to be a part of a DWI checkpoint. Have you ever lost a family member because of a drunk driver ? I Have.. I am not judgeing this religious radical idiot, just stating the facts mam... and I have talked to him, don't care to again...

And why are you hiding behind the name Heather, when it is very obvious you are his wife... I can't pick and choose which laws I agree with and which ones I don't, he most definately should not be allowed to, since he is being paid to enforce the law.
