We don't leave our soldiers behind during war. That is unequivocal. I like what the President had to say about it:
I make absolutely no apologies for making sure that we get back a young man to his parents and that the American people understand that this is somebodyís child and that we donít 'condition' whether or not we make the effort to try to get them back."
ONE QUESTION, are you a veteran and have you ever served in wartime?

Your assumptions about my political leaning shows your obvious lack of what is happening.
Your intolerance also reflects why this site has such a reputation.
I for one totally understand your concerns and any thinking person can see we are headed in the wrong direction as a country..

Sickening when a government aide wags their tongue about something they have no clue about but think they know it all.

This is a very multi sided issue. May I ask exactly what part you agree with or is it total and blind agreement ?

Me too.....No Man Left Behind, is the credo, you either honor it as a leader, or not.....Plenty of time to have a trial, if the military deems it necessary.....

One more, and LAST thing.....I was warned to ignore this website because it is populated with folks who KNOW NOTHING about current events and simply lurk to bash others with vitrol.
There is a difference, and a large one between DISAGREEING with someone and spewing hate with no facts or basis for that hate..just hate.
I felt that maybe this forum would serve as some discussion place on an adult level but alas.......
as someone who helped vote the current administration in twice, and as an a veteran american I am astounded by the reaction to my post.
I decided not to enroll before I saw who may be on this forum, and glad I did not. The warnings I received about posting here were right on target.
To those who frequent this place simply to spew hate, I wish you only the best. Someday, maybe somebody with some intelligence and an adult may post here.
...LOL.....

So then....You prefer no trial, and just a prison sentence?

Whether Bergdahl is guilty of anything is not the story.
The lack of sensitivity shown by this admin in the Rose Garden, the various...I think at least THREE.....stories told by the admin, the bypassing of congress...again with a number of different tales as to why.....even criticized by his own party...negotiating and giving credibility to a group who yesterday bombed an killed...Taliban....those are the stories.
Bergdahl also but I agree there needs to be a trial, but everyone on the planet knew about this case...YET the WH had that press conference which was a bit insulting if you ever served. The WH also knew that congress, including all the Democrats were totally opposed to this so he simply bypassed them.

Well stated. I have said, I am an Obama supporter, but am very concerned about this exchange.

Not to mention the little thing called the Iraq war started by Bush/Cheney over the phantom wmds. I firmly believe Cheney to be a war profiteer and a war criminal. History will judge him as such!

Hard to believe that Cheney would come out like he did, and criticize President Obama on Iraq.....Obama left Iraq with a Million man army....Good to see Megyn Kelly on Fox give him a hard time, over it.....
