You just proved WFT's point with your moronic comments.

One of the women's children just posted on the daily commercial site that this was a known fact (that this guy was off his rocker). Does that mean he was abusive and they knew it? It is not a far stretch to then say the police knew about it. I remember many well publicized cases where the police knew a man was abusive yet did nothing. And of those who are not public, the cops still do nothing. State attorney often refuses to prosecute even with a willing victim. Is it any wonder Lake County has a rash of dv crimes?
It is because this attitude is very prevelant - which is why I moved. I want to live in the year 2008, not 1900 thank you very much.
To the family, I wish your mother, sister, aunt a speedy recovery.

Any good cop KNOWS that you don't have to lie to get a conviction, nor do you have to lie for any reason in this job. There are plenty of criminals out there committing actual crimes that need arresting.
Any good cop? Maybe. But the ones I know do indeed lie, on reports, warrants, motion hearings, trial-you name it. Maybe not ALL the time, but please acknowledge the fact that we are trained to lie and lying properly is essential. BTW, Lying takes on special meaning with us, mostly is the embellishment or exaggeration or taking statements out of context to deceive. But yeah, I do outright lie to make sure justice is done and so do you.

as an officer myself, I can tell you that if it does not fall in that Florida State Statute book then it can't happen. I know there is some cops that don't adhere to policy and rules, and even the laws, but for the most part, these guys did their job right. If the family knew of the situation, they could have always had him voluntaryly bakeracted or even assisted more. I know he showed his ability to shoot someone, but someone knew more info on him that what was said. And yeah Georgia, way to go guys, good ole' system at work up there.
