What I and found is true, without exception, is that people like the misnamed "skinny girl", who obsess about other people's weight or what they eat are HUGE and hate themselves for their lack of control. What kind of person even looks at what others in a restaurant are eating??? When I'm out to eat with my husband or even lunch with friends, I'm focused on the person or people that I'm with, not what the people at the next table are eating or what they weigh. Unless they're asking me to buy their groceries (like the fat welfare divas), or are people I KNOW are fat themselves (RON) I don't consider other people's weight any of my business.
For the most part that's true, but like I said, it's really annoys me when I see some porker on a scooter cramming a Cinnabon down their bloated throats. It's gluttony on display, and we all pay for it in higher health insurance costs. Smokers get hammered with smokers' rates; it should be the same with obese people.

Maybe you ought to shop in a better part of town. Only place I have seen that is Walmart.
I rarely shop there, only if I need something in the middle of the night and everything else is closed.

How long did it take you? Two miles is my limit, mainly because I get bored. I prefer to swim laps in the pool.
Like I have written, I eat fresh fruits and vegetables, lean grilled meat in appropriate serving size, and have deleted white flour and white sugar as much as possible. Now, when I see an obese person ordering a salad with mountains of dressing, two loaves of bread and pasta with a fat-laden sauce, I can't imagine what they are thinking. I might have eaten heavily in my 20's, but i could afford to and still weigh 122. I burned it all off.
I don't think eggs are that bad actually. I'd rather have protein for breakfast than sugar/cereals.
Add fresh veggies and make it an omelet.
There's a great deal of ignorance here about health, exercise and nutrition. It's hard to not answer, but the best policy is to skip over it without reading.
Running is slightly boring but I do different routes thru The Villages and it's so pretty here. I enjoy doing it first thing in the morning when it's not so hot. I eat like you. Lots of fruits and veggies and small portions. I also cut out whites..no white bread, white rice, etc. Yes, the fatties will say thathad a salad for lunch but it's usually a 1,000 calorie monstrosity. I eat eggs, too. Lots of veggie omelets with a side of fresh fruit slices. No bread or hash browns here. Not sure why all these other posters keep saying that I must be fat. Oh, well. I'm not but I do HATE seeing Fat people because it's totally THEIR OWN FAULT. PUSH AWAY FROM THE TABLE.
As far as scooters go, many of my neighbors have them. A few NEED them, but most don't.They admit they don't need them but they say it's CONVENIENT. Once they got the scooter, they never walk anywhere, not even to the next door neighbor. So eventually, they will not be able to walk and will NEED the scooter. I just think many people, NOT ALL, abuse them.

EXACTLY ! It's so gross to watch a fat person eating. Have you EVER seen a FAT person eating anything HEALTHY...carrot sticks for example. Or drinking water ? No they are usually eating ice cream and drinking a SUPER-SIZED diet COKE. It's pathetic.

I never used a scooter in a store, not even a day after surgery when I probably should have. I just leaned on the basket and shopped for fresh food as I needed to heal. As for the salads, places like Chili's have salads that are 1,800 calories at least. Chli's is kind of similar to fast food except you get to sit down and order. I rarely eat there because about the only thing you can get are some boring salads. Even their paired down steak is served with mashed potatoes (carbalicious) and broccoli. I know you can substitute, but why can't they just make a plate that is healthy?

I know people who had polio as a kid and they do need the scooters. They are not lazy. They are impaired and yes, some carry weight (extra) because of it. I just think you should get to know a person before you judge them. Now, I did see a big guy eat a huge meal while his kids got a snack.

I like doing stairs better than running. It's too humid and hot this time of year. We have trails all over.

All the fast food places should post a picture of Keith Martin on their doors and greet guests saying "Wecome to Denny's . Are you here for the Keith Martin special ?"
Keith Martin is the worlds heaviest man. Google him...VERY SAD. He's 5'9" and has a waist that measures 6 feet around. He blames himself and recently changed from a 20,000 calorie a day diet to a 1,500 calorie a day diet. At least he is going to try. Most FATTIES I see are not even trying.

Good for you ! And congrats on losing 8 pounds in 7 days. Keep up the good work. Usually, when you lose that much that quickly, it's at the start of a diet and it's mostly water weight. If you stay on a decent diet, you should expect to lose one or two pounds per week. The key is to make short term goals and give yourself a reward (non-food) when you reach each goal. Psych yourself into it. You can do it !

Why do you keep showing up and going OFF TOPIC???? We are having a good discussion. How or why would I post to myself ? That doesn't even make sense. If you have anything to add about OBESITY, please do so If you are just going on EVERY thread and resorting to childish name calling, then please GO AWAY.

Yeah, that's the worst...being behind a FATTIE at checkout. Ice Cream, cookies, candy, cakes, white bread, frozen waffles, bacon, syrup, and a case of DIET soda. No fruit, no veggeis. Nothing healthy at all. Then they WADDLE out with their FAT KIDS....I feel so bad for the kids. I want to give them some fruit to take home.
I have a question...is there a special store to buy FATTIE furniture ? I know my dining room chairs would COLLAPSE if any if these FATTIES sat down. Where do you buy a bed for a 400 pound FATTIE ?

Fatgirl, you don't tell me what to do, EVER. You're just a housebound nutcase. You are however, VERY funny pretending that anyone would actually converse with you. Have some more cookies, Lardo!!

I don't drink diet soda. Nothing but chemicals. Once you delete sugar, you lose your taste for it. I remember seeing a thing on Native American Indian children and once they started eating the White Man's diet, the kids' teeth starting rotting from the sugar. It's not necessary. My cart is veggies, eggs, lean meat, water, etc. I've seen women in their 50's, 60's and 70's who can't walk a grocery store or even out to their car. It's sad. On the flip side, I've seen women who are active into their 80's do a whole lot better.

Yeah, that's what it's like in The Villages. Lots of active older people. People in the 60's and 70's still playing sports. It 's like nowhere else in the world. Have you visited The Villages ?
