Athletics play an important part in my sons life. he learns a great deal from participation in football. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition and how to win and lose gracefully are an integral part of football. Football plays an important part, in helping my son develop a healthy self-concept as well as a healthy body. At no time does football place the total educational curriculum secondary in emphasis;Football in my sons's life helps him to strive to be a well-rounded individual, capable of taking his place in society. Athletic competition adds to our school spirit and helps all students-spectators, as well as participants, develop pride in their school and comunity

They still suck! Does your son like being a loser? There used to be pride in our program and now look at the pile of crap it is. Education is secondary, memories on that field last forever. Come on boys, PLAY LIKE GODS!!!!

WOW!!! I'd say you are a joke. The name fits you well. What an idiot. These are kids you're talking about. It isn't the NFL, it's high school. Get a life. You must be the guy that just can't let go of your dream of being a football player. Get over it. You're old and washed up now. How dare you say such horrible things about those kids?

You keep talking about pride but you dont know what that means...just because they arent as good as teams in the past does not mean they dont have pride. It takes a lot of pride to work out all summer, go through two a days, go to practice all week and still know that the team your playing is more talented but they still go out and give it everything. Pride has nothing to do with talent or the football teams record. If anything, pride is what sullivan does have.

These boys got the opportunity of a life time and they piss it all away. They are a disgrace to this program and the town that supports it. The players and coaches dont even care anymore if they win or lose and they should! Yoy people take high school football WAY to lightly!!!

After the first 3 games Sullivan has played 3 ranked opponents and is 2-1. I'm not sure what football team you think you are complaining about but they are doing a great job, and are playing with a lot of heart. Keep it up boys!

Sullivan is starting to play better football and that is great. But the schools may have been ranked, but in a lower class, The Arrows should beat them year in and year out. I'm proud Sullivan is winning but I hope it continues against schools similar in size. Good Luck Golden Arrows!

We have been playing schools similar in size. Sullivan is one of, if not THE smallest school in the WIC and is closer in size to Linton, North Knox, and Southridge than they are with Owen Valley, Edgewood, Northview, Brown County, ect. The fact that Sullivan plays Northview at all is crap. They have more kids than Sullivan, North Central, and Dugger combined.

If you want the kids to get better? So they can play at the next level. You have to play better competion. If you just want to play so you can win play a weak schedule. Be a big fish in a small pond who does that help? what are you playing for? Hopefully so the kids get better. Not for the parents ego. Too many dads trying to relive high school.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Pisces

Do not overspend on redecorating. Say as little as possible and concentrate on matters in hand. Someone you care about will be erratic and eager to pick a fight. To move that great idea, you need to talk to the big spenders. Run the idea by them and see if you cannot get a backer and a partner for your concept.
