Wasn't there a sign out front next to the highway that read "We are still open." Just the other day?

to bad ford dealer been here since i can remember, remember jack thrasher ford, doan and decker ford? to bad they couldn't carry on, greed gets the best of some,i guess. it will all come out in the wash sooner or later as to why the ford dealer got all the cars repo'ed. there are other ford dealers in the area they would probably love the business,

I can see why the ford dealership in Sullivan and Terre Haute closed. I took my vehicle to both places about 5 years ago. They fixed everything that wasn't wrong with the car and didn't fix anything they should have. But they charged an arm and a leg for what didn't need repaired. They also did shotty work. I went to a regular at home shop where they fixed it with no problem and I saved lots of money. This made me a firm believer not to buy a new car where the service department was useless. Service what you sell, do it professionally, customer service must be great and if you sell a used car do not sell a service agreement with it unless you can back up what you sell.

Do you think that maybe the reason the dealership closed is that the owner, Mark Savory, was too concerned about his child molestitaion conviction in Illinois to run the dealership. Two years ago he transferred the ownership from himself to his wife to get around the Indiana Sex Offender Registry law.

Just maybe Ford in general are having problems because they build a car that has to been taken in for service for even the smallest problem....like changing spark plugs? Some people can do these things their self and it saves them money...they don't want a vehicle that they have to hire someone to do what they can do.
Just a thought.

Hey...oops...Mark Savoree didn't own the dealership anymore. His wife sold it to the Beuyer family a year or so ago. I agree though, he did move it to his wife's name to get around the pedophile registry.

I think savoree will probably trying to open the dealership back up under his name since he still owns the buildings in Paris, sullivan and terre haute. To bad his victim of his sexual abuse didn't get a cut of some of that money.

There are so many rumors going around about this Savoree and the Beyrers, you just don't know what to believe!! Did Savoree in fact sell the dealership(s) to Beyrer? Did Beyrer not get the loan approval for the deal and have to back out, thus resulting in the dealership(s) closing? Is Bob Bowen going to end up getting Terre Haute Ford, to make his prescence felt in Terre Haute? There is a rumor circulating that Thompsons are trying to get the facilities to move the Honda dealership to, making their prescence felt on south 41......one thing for certain, Terre Haute is to big to be without a Ford dealer for very long, and I'm sure Ford corporate feels the same way! Out with the old and in with the new!

Mr Ed if you are like who your parents named you after, I guess your not a small one yourself..........horse, is a horse.

Ford should have stayed on Wabash! Plus the sale's people weren't the friendliest when I was looking, so I purchased a jeep. The ones at Burger, not the friendliest either, but they deal with you.

Oh yeah Autohouse will definately fix you right up. The one and only time I tried to buy a vehicle from them they wouldn't tell me how much the vehicle was until they figured out how much the bank would finance. They're just another pack of thieves.

I'll bet you lived here once. Isn't funny how so many people in TH have plenty of time worry about the Jones and forget to look in the mirror.
