Ladybird, you are FREE to criticize others and they are FREE to criticize you. There's no constitutional right against being criticized. When you comment in a public forum, some will applaud you and some will criticize you. Stop being such a crybaby.

PS - You are not killing anyone. The executioner will be doing it.

Well, i don't believe in god, so this guy should get butt-fucked and tortured. It's only fair, look at the details of his murders.. Killing can change the world if you kill all the screwed up people. Not as free as you thought you were? What are you talking about, you can say whatever you want. People are just disagreeing with you becaue they feel differently.

My question again, was he in the wrong place at the right time, just in with the wrong crowd....did he pull the trigger.... what is his history. Every one leaves a trail of what their personality is like.

The prisons are full of wrong judgements on people. That has been proved by dna. Lets look at how many so called murderers have been released from prison. Alot of these had eye witnesses.... or so they thought

I think that it is wrong. He should not be the only one to go down. If they all did it then they all should have went down. I feel so sorry for Dexter's family and my prayers go out to them. I hope that they get the whole thing right!!!!

And to whoever wrote these last four comments, finally someone with some sence. And my comment still hasn't changed: I DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE DEATH PENALITY! AND I STILL SAY IT IT WRONG!

From what I read this man supposedly did, he probably deserves capital punishment by any society's standard. My only point is how people justify their capital punishment stand with morality and pointing to the bible's "eye for eye" verse. Jesus said "You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth". But I say to you, do not resist an evildoer. If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also." And this He meant literally. Look at what Jesus did when He was being murdered, ridiculed, and tortured. Did he resist? He really meant what He said up to the point of His death. Those evildoers that killed Jesus continued to live and Jesus could have exacted justice under man's law. He chose a different path and if you want to better your life, no one is a better example than Jesus Himself. In His death, the centurion was convinced Jesus was indeed the Son of God. We value life in a perverted way, only for ourself and those in our circle. But life is not important enough to exact revenge for. Missionaries to an African jungle were mauled and eaten the minute they stepped off their plane and did not resist. The next group who came to the same village were received with love by the same exact people and it was credited to the self sacrifice they witnessed by the first group. There is a better way for those who choose His example.

The others still face trial. He was tried separately because the other 4 creatures testified against him. They agreed that he pulled the trigger. The beasts will likely get death or life in prison. At least they won't be able to hurt more innocent people.

If there is no doubt that he committed these horrible acts against the victims, then he has clearly demonstrated that he is dangerous.
The other people who also participated in this assault are equally guilty and are just as dangerous.
It is fortunate that they have been caught, so that a stop can be put to their activities.
Why would a community want to have them around?
Want them in your neighbourhood?

while I haven't looked too deeply into the specifics I can almost guarantee that the others not receive a death sentence. It will come down to pre-trial agreements that they will have made in return for their testimony against him.
They should and most likely will receive lengthy sentences though.

Ladybird, I agree with you about the death penalty in a sense however, God also says to obey the laws of the land, I've recently researched the crime committed and justice IS being served because God has served it. God appoints our aurthority figures and gives them the desire to be judges and jurors. This is extremely sad because he not only has destoyed his own life and theirs but, what if the victims had not established a relationship with Jesus? If not, this young man may have cost them their salvation through Jesus. What if they were not saved? The murderer might burn in hell but the victims might be headed there as well, because of his actions. That's not just and God is a just God.

Paul, life IS important enough to take revenge and revenge will be had, by God. He has promised to deliver us from our enemies. We can't turn the other cheek to murder and rape though, how could we possibly call ourselves human if we don't punish him for the invaluable lives he has stolen? and no, Jesus didn't resist his accusers, but Jesus' whole purpose for coming to earth was to die for our sins. I'm almost positive Jesus would not have been so willing to die if it were not his appointed time and purpose, nor does the bible teach to let murderers keep on killing. The bible condones purging evil from the land. We can't just let satan roam free on earth with no restrictions. Cold blooded murderers don't care about life or death until it's their own at stake. What if we just kept paying for him to eat and sleep and breath in our prisons that would not be justice for the victims. To be just we must do the right thing so, if it were you and you just made it to the judgement seat of God after being raped and murdered and God said to you "Where is your killer, shall I send for him to answer to me? what would your reply be to God?

The criminal kills, then the system kills them. What kind of sense does this make? Is this how GOD wants this to be handled? What do you think God wants the punishment to be.
----You are right, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. And you asked for our opinions in your original post. We gave you our opinions. And since you brought God into it, let me ask YOU a couple questions: When God populated the world with life, do you think he intended for people to rape and murder others? Is this how GOD wanted life on earth "to be handled"?
----So I ask YOU, what do YOU think God wants the punishment to be? I've always thought that if you have a little cancer among normal, healthy cells, you try to rid yourself of the cancer by cutting it out and discarding it. I think God would agree. And as a practical matter, I would prefer to discard people like Dexter Johnson rather than have my tax dollars, from my full-time employment, pay to feed and shelter him in jail at a cost of $100,000 per year. I have little sympathy for a "cancer" like him, just as he had little sympathy for his victims.
----You asked us what we thought God would want his punishment to be, right? Well, let's give Dexter Johnson to God and find out.

I guess people like Ladybird opposed us going to war to stop Hitler, since we were killing people. Ladybird would have rather that the world stood by while Hitler's Nazis slaughtered hundreds of millions of people, because destruction of evil is immoral to people like her. How many Germans were killed in order to stop the Nazis? Using Ladybird's logic, if somebody broke into your home to murder and rape your wife, it would be immoral to hurt the intruder. She is sick in the head or a liar. I still challenge her to take people like Dexter into her home with her family. She is a liar or mentally ill.

I STILL BELIEVE IT IS OK TO KILL EVIL PEOPLE IF IT IS DONE TO PROTECT INNOCENT PEOPLE.

None of these bible thumpers and race pimps have addressed the issue. That creature was found guilty in court and was sentenced for his crimes. Do you have any evidence of racism in this case other than the five blacks murdering two Asians? You ignorant race pimps are just as disgusting as the murderers.

some of you people are just as sick as Dexter is. you people are sitting here writing these stupid remarks and none of you sound sane. some of you are talking about doing the same thing to him that he did to these people. that means yall got evil in your heart just like dexter. some of you are just stupid. a bunch of evil minded people. yall belong in the same cell with him. the way some of you think about killing him you are just as a threat to the puplic as he is. a bunch of animals. i agree with ladybird and paul 100% they are the only ones here who are not EVIL people
