Thank you for exposing yourself as the clearly liberal, uncivilized and uneducated, ignorant dolt that seems to pervade every aspect of the democratic party these days.
But since you brought up the Catholic issue as it applies to Mitt Romney, let's take a look at who Catholics are getting behind in this election, shall we?:

You're a joke. Democrats or "liberals" are far more educated than Republicans, and that is a fact.

There is a differnce between "educated" and "smarter".

There are a lot of "educated" people in CA but they are the stupid when it comes to reality vs. idealology.

$16 billion in debt and wanting to build a $100 billion bullet train and become a sanctuary state for illegals may be an "educated" and "enlightened" decision but it does not qualify as "smart" and will lead CA down the road to bankruptcy.

Since when did conservatives become so conservative? Seems like the day "O" was sworn in, they suddenly became fiscally responsible, like never before. Up until then, they spent tax dollars like drunken sailors. They created giant corporate tax incentives for sending work out of the US, a military that is larger than the rest of the world combined - 10 times over, blowing other countries to smithereens – to find one guy, then rebuilding the entire them, better than out own. Look back in history, and the debt always has grown the most under conservative rule. Seems like there’s an ulterior motive this time around.

Sure, there can be a difference. However let's be honest here, the majority of conservatives are neither educated school-wise nor are they smart. Very very ignorant folk in that area.

Both parties are guilty of massive spending. Bush sucked and Obama sucks and there is no getting away from the fact that both openned up the taxpayer pocket book and made sure their supports were well taken care of.

Keep in mind Bush did not have the keys to store during much of his term just as Clinton did not have full run of things either. Clinton had to work with a republican house and senate just like Bush had to work with a democratic house and senate.

In case you missed in in civics the house originates spending bills (not the president). Clinton gets all the credit for a surplus while Bush gets all the blame for the deficit spending.

It took both Clinton and the republican controlled congress to produce a surplus just like it took Bush and a democratic controlled congress to spend like, as you put it, a drunken salior. One side cannot spend without the other side's approval unless the congress votes 2/3 majorioty to overthrow a presidnetial veto on the budget and that just does not happen.

Both parties to blame and both to take credit and that simply how it is.

Don't throw stones too hard.

LBJ pushed for the war because lady bird had major ownership in a little company known these days as Haliburton. So I guess Dems are not the white knights you make them out to be. They all profiteer including Obama and Bush.

Republicans lie to you and you known it. Democrates lie to you and you believe them. That is the differnce. I know they all lie regardless of party.

The only smart thing I have seen come out of Washing DC in the last four years was the Bowles Simpson commission report and it was outright rejected by both parties.

Not sure I totally agree with that. There are smart and dumb folks in each group. There are very ignorant folks in the conservative groups but there are also very stupid educated folks in the liberal group.

My bet is states like Alabama will not go bankrupt even though they may have less education on average than say CA or Il. citizens.

States that are considered to have the most educated people per population are the ones in the worst trouble. This would be CA, NY and Il.

Not listening to both sides with an open mind is true ignorance. Getting your information from only one source or only sources you always agree with is true ignorance.

Based on that there is alot of ignorant folks that call themshelves liberals or conservatives.

The right response is somewhere in the middle.

In the six months before I took office, we lost nearly 4 million jobs.

And we lost another 4 million before our policies were in full effect.

Those are the facts.

But so are these. In the last 22 months, businesses have created more than 3 million jobs.
Last year, they created the most jobs since 2005.

American manufacturers are hiring again, creating jobs for the first time since the late 1990s.

Together, we’ve agreed to cut the deficit by more than $2 trillion. And we’ve put in place new rules to hold Wall Street accountable, so a crisis like this never happens again.

The state of our union is getting stronger, and we’ve come too far to turn back now.

As long as I’m president, I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum. But I intend to fight obstruction with action, and I will oppose any effort to return to the very same policies that brought on this economic crisis in the first place.
