'The Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan Washington research group, estimates that 77 percent of American households will face higher federal taxes in 2013 under the agreement negotiated between President Barack Obama and Senate Republicans. High-income families will feel the biggest tax increases, but many middle- and low-income families will pay higher taxes too.

Households making between $40,000 and $50,000 will face an average tax increase of $579 in 2013, according to the Tax Policy Center's analysis. Households making between $50,000 and $75,000 will face an average tax increase of $822.'

Alas, the liberal lie of 'the rich' paying for it all is coming home to roost.

Also worth noting: How much did the 'increased revenue' from the Obumble tax increase decrease the deficit?

Beuller? Anyone?

Payroll taxes are going up, so if you own a business and have employees, you will feel the pinch.

They are not going up. They are repealing the temporary cut that shorted SS and Medicare.

Until you know all the facts, I would keep your opinion to yourself. You already made a fool of yourself today in another post. Quit while you are ahead.

Yes Aunie, I will see in an increase, whatever the hell the reason you want to label it. Since I am the one cutting the payroll checks and matching those funds in my quaterlies, I will feel the pinch.

You are a moron. Employer rate stays the same. The only pinch you will feel is your dad pulling on your choke collar.

WOW! You're incorporated! So am I! We filed an LLC years ago. And every small business either files subchapter "S" or an LLC which means the income from your "corporation" merely goes into your personal tax return and you are not taxed at the corporate rate.

C'mon, everybody knows that.

You are so correct! The employER'S half of the tax did not decrease, only the employEE's half did. So Slush's "corporation" will not see any payroll tax increase at all. The only increase will be the new Ostupidcare taxes levied on employers.

And I'm quite sure Slush inc. always has had full healthcare coverage for her workers, right? Otherwise she's gonna get fined for being an EVIL one percenter!

Tim Carney: How corporate tax credits got in the 'cliff' deal

the White House wanted permanent extensions of a whole slew of corporate tax credits. When Senate Republicans said no, "the White House insisted that the exact language" of the Baucus bill be included in the fiscal cliff deal. "They were absolutely insistent," another aide tells me.(The White House did not return requests for comment.)

An LLC is a whole different ball of wax. I file separate tax returns, but thank you for your input.

There has to be cuts. We can't afford to carry able bodied citizens any longer. Some are deserving sure, but I am sure that with a little effort, undeserving receipients could be identified and removed from taxpayer's payroll.
