Besides being unconstitutional on both state and federal level, it is a law against nature. In nature, anything has a right to defend itself.

How is it possible then for there to be any "gun" crime in Allentown with Article 734.01 on the books?! Don't those intent on doing wrong with a gun know they can get in big trouble if the violate this article? I just don't understand this. Perhaps we need more laws and Articles "on the books" to back up the one's we already have to make those well-intentioned criminals really understand that they should not own guns and shoot innocent people with them!

There is no gray area here. The law ,to me as a layman, is a preemption violation of PAs Uniform Firearms Act.

§6120. Limitation on the Regulation of Firearms and Ammunition.

(a) General rule. No county, municipality or township may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession, transfer or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammuni­tion components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited by the laws of this commonwealth.

734.01 should be taken off the books.

If Chief MacLean says Trilli wasn't charged with a crime (which he shouldn't have been), how and why did they take his gun? Something doesn"t sound right to me. Besides that wacky "law". Who are the neighbors, friends of the Mayor or someone in city hall? The police responded with a canine unit and rifles? Maybe the neighbors are friends of someone on the police force. This has got my interest. I'm sure glad I don't live in Allentown.

My friend was killed near Allentown several years ago. They tried to steal her car. If she had a gun with her I bet she'd still be here with us today.
