'Eric Holder said a drone strike within the borders of the US and against an American citizen may be carried out in what he called an extraordinary circumstance.

He made the remarks in a statement in a response to an inquiry by Republican Senator Rand Paul, who had questioned the Justice Department on Tuesday if it believed that President Barack Obama had the legal authority to order an assassination drone strike on an American while present on US soil.

Paul said the administrationís "refusal to rule out the possibility of drone strikes on American citizens and on American soil is more than frightening -- it is an affront the Constitutional due process rights of all Americans."

Be afraid, be very afraid. Rand Paul makes his Father look like a socialist! You know where Rand was going with this!

I sure do. He is going in the direction of obeying the CONSTITUTUION.

That pesky part about a TRIAL, not assassination of Americans on American soil.

But we all know Willo has absolutely no problem with this, unless of course a Republican is in charge.

I am against it no matter what party is in charge!

I did not like Bush and Obama is 10 times worse than Bush!

But to some people that does not matter.

The chance that the POTUs would use drone strikes on Americans is slim to none, stop being so silly!

So you would oppose using a military jet to shoot-down a hijacked plane pointed at the US Capitol.

So I guess slim to none is quite silly after all.

Mixed feelings there, those buildings are irreplaceable, politicians seem to crawl out from under rocks..
Personally I think the days of a box cutter armed hijacker are over, it only took a couple of planes to drive that point home to passengers. The last 4 hijackings ended up with dead hijackers.

The father was. The son was not related to ANY al-qaeda activity. Bush did torture, which I objected to. Obama has converted the drones from their intended 'support function' for our troops into a world wide killing machine. Why do you view MURDER as better than torture???

Oh The Democrats are doing the targeted murders when the Republicans were doing the torture.

He has already done it!

But the chances should not be "slim" to none. it should be NONE, period!

Now you may be talking about terrorists. But just WHO decides what a "terrorist" is? The Southern Poverty Law Center classifies all Tea Party people as "terrorists", and I consider the New Black panthers to be "terrorists". So should a sitting Republican President be allowed to make that decision without a warrant OR trial? "Just kill 'em!"

Also the DHS has announced the drones will have the capability to know if the subject is carrying a gun (legally?) and can intercept any cell phone calls without any judge giving permission as per that pesky Constitution.

So you think it's better if we send our sons to War to be killed, well okay then!

It doesn't really matter does it? Bush lied and our sons died! Have you watched "Hubris" yet?

What "lies" did Bush tell, and if he was so stupid, how did he convince the smartest woman in the world, Madame Hillary to vote with him? Could it be she saw the exact same intelligence reports he saw? And WHY did Bubba also agree to the invasion?

The REAL liar was LBJ! The Gulf of Tonkin Incident never happened, and 53,000 of our brothers died!

What doesn't really matter? What difference does it make? How easily you are convinced to give up your civil rights. A slogan here, a slogan there and you fall in line with no questions asked.

Because what we have here is a partisan, not a thinker. Anything her side of the political aisle says is Gospel, and anything our side of the aisle says is wrong. No thinking is involved, so it's easy.

That's why I say things like "If President Trump were to do this", her side would be screaming bloody murder. Simply because a Republican is doing it. Thing is, I would be standing right next to her because NO President should be doing it.

In order to 'ask questions' one must first THINK!
