I think it is a great idea. I have a daughter graduating this year and one leaving the JR into the high school. Going to either school is scoking. The girls wear shirts that expose the boobs and the I really hate seeing the underwear. Their pants legs are so wide that a family of four could live in them.

There should be some standards... it also seems that keeping up with the Jones is skater wear or gangster wear.

People typically don't take the word of a student seriously, and it has been that way for years; however it still remains true, Stroudsburg is a rural school, in northeastern pennsylvania, not an inner-city school, a dress code is out of fasion, esspecially for the area.

The idea of a dress code is just being used to cover up a bigger more important issue, to hide the flaws that would exsist either way, it's only being used to give, both teachers, and parents alike a false sense of security, bullying will exsist either way, as will drugs and violence, there is no stopping it.

It won't solve a thing, and any school spirit that does exsist will be deminished, it will create spite, and anger within the schools student community, and that definatly doesn't make for school spirit.

i agree that revealing your chest and showing your under garments is repulsive and unlady like. i beleive the dress policy is right because the students should look like students and not like skaters,or gangsters,or even like hochy girls.
yet i do think it is hard to find these clothes which are required in the dress policy. most stores only have a minimum amount of clothing provided.
but the one thing i do not agree with is the reason why they made this dress code. they think peole are getting into gangs which i think is humerous.
i do know my daughter is angry about this and i simithyse but i do agree with the dress policy over all.
