New York Democratic Rep. Jose Serrano reintroduced the measure on January 4, after it did not make it to a floor vote in January 2011, the Daily Caller reports.

Maybe you should read the story before you start crying about it.

**Serrano has attempted to repeal the amendment for decades and proposed similar bills in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007.

Rep. Serrano’s initiatives are not dependent on any particular party, since he has tried to get the measure passed under the presidencies of both Democrats and Republicans.**

Who says he's crying? He just posted a link, not his opinion.

Still with the 'fix,' eh?

That horse left the barn two years ago. The MASSIVE debt, legions of unemployed and rising taxes is all Obumble.

But, hey! Democrats won! No reason to cut spending! Let's spend and borrow MORE!

Obumblephones for all! Party on, dude!

yes, Jefferson, it's a BIG HUGE GIGANTIC FIX and it ain't easy, there's some pain, exacerbated by Republican idiots in Congress who want to wash awat their past sins.

If drowning in debt is the 'fix,' then Obumble is right on track. The most expensive presidency in history.

And our children and grandchildren will get stuck with his bill.

What this regime is doing to America is criminal.

Pain? What Pain?! Are you seriously suggesting that there is some sort of Spartanesque plan (FIX, as you youngsters call it) in mind to bring us back from the brink?
What exactly have you been deprived of? 4Gs perhaps?

Colin Powell on Meet The Press: "My party, unfortunately, is the bastion of those people -- not all of them, but most of them -- who are still basing their positions on race. Let me just be candid: My party is full of racists, and the real reason a considerable portion of my party wants President Obama out of the White House has nothing to do with the content of his character, nothing to do with his competence as commander-in-chief and president, and everything to do with the color of his skin, and that's despicable."

That is killing with kindness.:-)

Could it be that Colin Powell is finally reacting to a lifetime of having an unfortunate first name and the realization that he'll never be a serious option for president?

Seems like a lot of sour grapes from this man. With that much irrational anger, he should consider switching parties.

Hehe I always try to remember my manners:)

But to the point, Powell never said what our lightweight friend said he did on Meet the Press or otherwise. He obviously did not watch Meet the Press so it's either another case of not reading for comprehension or a game of obamaphone gone haywire.

General Powell, a man whom I admire greatly and still believe should have been awarded a 5h star for his direction of the Gulf war, is still an old time Republican. Politically, go along to get along.

And although he is a national hero, many new Republicans do not agree with his views, just as many Democrats today would never have voted for JFK as he was a tax cutter and firmly believed in a strong and undefeatable military.

And as far as a third term for Ostupid, you cannot do it by legislation alone, you must call a Constitutional Convention.
