http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/05/de... "A large and loud group of delegates shouted "no" as convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, called for the vote late Wednesday afternoon. Villaraigosa had to call for the vote three times before ruling that the "ayes" had it. Many in the crowd booed after he determined the language would be restored." Word has it that all the booing interrupted Bill Clinton as he was getting polished by Sandra Fluke.

You are perfect for the worthless TeaParty.

Now liberals are falling over themselves trying to explain away why so many don't want anything to do with God. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/06/de... I love watching these fools twist in the wind!

Your question is aburd, and the fact that you asked it is just further proof of your hopeless enslavement to political trash talk. I watched the video. The amendment vote aftermath was embarrassingly handled, no argument there. But why was the vote even required in the first place? The absence of the word God from the platform may have just been an oversight. But of course our pals at Fox and elsewhere made a big issue out of it, and the Democrats, who would have better served themselves by ignoring this latest right-wing piffle, scrambled to include the word in the platform. The ruckus on the floor was caused not by a desire to exclude God from the platform, but by an unwillingness on many delegates' part to lend credence to the idiotic charge. That's the way I see it, anyway.

just like the GOP to focus on something that you can't even prove exists.

I agree that it was handled poorly, but should we not expect better of the folks who are asking to run the country? That said, it wasn't just any word, it was kind of a big one. And the fact that such a thing garnered ANY negative votes tells me that some folks at the convention felt confident enough to voice their true liberal opinion...perhaps something that would normally be kept hidden. Particularly given the subject matter. Moreover, we were told that the President had read and approved the platform prior to this change. So, did he read it or not? Or was the absence just something that didn't bother him much. Every once and a while liberals let their guard down and the true picture of their views comes into focus. And it's a view that many of them would just as soon keep blurry.

JW, it's good to have you back. The board needed some balance to these two fools.

There's plenty of you angry and frightened folks here. You two are hardly a force for balance. Try dropping the juvenile jpeg, that might help.

Good to be back, JP. Been a few months. Guess the liberals have all but given up...just a few delusional diehards left who can't debate their way out of a paper bag. Still good for a few laughs! Remember, it's Bush's fault. :-)
